She’s not nice, she’s a sellout, and she’s married to someone who’s probably involved with the Diddy parties. YOU TELL EM.

honeymoon is alive 23,892 Posted 4 hours ago funny thing is that some people here condemn jeremy but pretend that beyonce isn’t married to someone who was literally acused of being a r4pist and ch1ld abuser

DCooper 37,480 Posted 4 hours ago Brat is an amazing album and would have been worthy of AOTY, but Cowboy Carter is incredible and absolutely deserving as well. To call this win a consolation prize is ridiculous.
daphnedinkley 14,003 Posted 4 hours ago im really surprised by people's reactions to cowboy carter winning aoty, i thought it was a really solid album! in my opinion it could have done with a slightly shorter runtime/a few tracks being trimmed, but overall i thought it was a wonderful album that felt like it executed a real grandiose vision from start to finish. i do understand why some people think this may be more of an "IOU" grammy - renaissance was absolutely robbed and cowboy carter's win does kinda feel like maaaaaaybe it was making up for that snub - but given the current intense popularity of country music, it doesn't surprise me that the voters may have been endeared to this record given the interesting way it interpreted and executed country music. country was massive this year, it kinda went more "mainstream" than it has been in decades, even over here in the uk. and hey, aoty was a reeeeally strong category this year, so i wouldn't be surprised if the votes were much more split between different albums than normal, with cowboy carter just edging out billie, chappell and charli. i also feel like the awards were quite well balanced and distributed in general this year - a lot of people that deserved grammys for making 2024 the incredible year for music that it was got them.
Veinsineon 78,517 Posted 4 hours ago The Grammy’s are not the CMA’s. It’s a far more mainstream and general pop culture event. So it makes sense the most corporate fronted big budget Country record would take the cake there!
blueskiesforever 372 Posted 4 hours ago I was surprised at CC winning, but it is a good album. I’ll revisit it soon. I hope Trevor Noah doesn’t return as host, he was unfunny and most of his jokes fell flat.
kingk 602 Posted 4 hours ago no one is arguing beyonce’s impact on culture and music lol she is a legend but imagine believing it was anything but a sympathy win

Rita Hayworth 278 Posted 4 hours ago Just now, Rita Hayworth said: This could be the last grammy Beyoncé wins, god knows what will come out of Diddy’s trial(s?)… It does upset me though, I always really liked Beyonce, but since learning more about her husband and all the Diddy stuff, I can’t look at them the same. And her music falls flat on me now..

baddisease 18,338 Posted 3 hours ago Unrelated: am I bad for thinking it's weird that millionaires and multimillionaires (and at least one billionaire) are asking people on TV to donate when even ONE of them has more money than a lot of people would make in a decade?
