Putting aside the “rebrand”, it’s a car brand…and the teaser had no cars in it

It's a bad ad all together. I'd bet it'll be shown in classes for marketing as a "what not to do" ad against an ad like, Idk... apple. My bf was over last night and we were looking at it and comparing how Apple advertises and it's a night/day difference. apple shows their brand logo, product, and product names front and center, whereas this ad was completely irrelevant to what jaguar does. idk, i'm not angry about the ad, but mostly confused about what the goal was entirely because it doesn't make a lot of sense. idk

If Jaguar wasn't such a famous brand nobody would know what the company does from that ad — which means it's a fail 

 

Jaguar is an iconic brand all about heritage but you can't simultaneously rely on that for your ads while dismantling it (with new logos)

They're way too late to the party. That ad might have been semi-effective 5 years ago, but it's obsolete now. And for a car, it's just stupid.
