lilithlana 195 Posted April 22, 2021 The only good or interesting part of Tulsa Jesus Freak is the ''white hot forever'' part. We'll be white-hot forever We're white-hot forever We'll be white-hot forever and ever and ever, amen <3

lili 3,177 Posted April 24, 2021 I have never had a problem with the lyrics of “Ultraviolence” (the song). I’ve always believed true art expresses the ugly and fucked up in a beautiful way so that we can understand the mindset of the individuals under less-than-desirable circumstances.

They lack the compassion and understanding to realize art like that is just as worthy of existing as songs and about sunshine and rainbows. They find the song appalling (which, in a way, they should) but misplace their outrage to the artist and the song, instead of the message behind it. They’re mad at Lana for making a song about abuse when they need to be mad at abuse. 17 Quote let's be real, all you bitches wanna look like me

Super Movie 51,699 Posted April 24, 2021 I wouldn't say that I fully want a return to the BTD sound, but I would like a return to the extravagant strings produced by emile haynie, dan heath, and even rick. We got a slight glimpse of it again in COCC thanks to dan, but I'd love to have it back in full
Hundred Dollar Bill 21,805 Posted April 24, 2021 not sure how unpopular this may be, but Not All Who Wander is the best song on Chemtrails & one of the best songs she's released in years

'Venice Bitch' and 'The greatest' are probably career defining songs, but to me 'Chemtrails' was overall more cohesive, less fillers.
evalionisameme 13,889 Posted April 24, 2021 Born To Die and Paradise would benefit from being re-recorded, as the drums and loon sound really dated all of a sudden the last two years. I believe it’s in danger of irrelevancy otherwise. maybe paradise less so than BTD. NFR has no high peak-its one monotonous piano chord.

It may sound dated to some, but it's never going to be an irrelevant album. It literally shifted pop music from EDM influence to hip-hop for the entirety of the 2010's.. BTD was a cultural reset.

It definitely is iconic and I do not mean for the next 5 years or so, however it should be a classic like thriller but it does show its age in comparison to aka even- the beats sound really tinny and the loon doesn’t help- the songs themselves are classics, they just need another gloss of polish to remain timeless otherwise I do imagine people will leave it be.

Lemonade Tea 322 Posted April 27, 2021 I think this belongs here bc I rarely see anyone talk about this track unless they call it boring. I love Old Money; it's one of my fav Lana songs and it makes me so emotional. That "Blue hydrangea" hits you right off the bat with a melancholy that is incredibly beautiful. There's something nostalgic about this song and I know when I'm older, I will be looking back fondly on it thinking of my younger years. And what better a song title for that, right? lol
IconicSoul 196 Posted April 28, 2021 unpopular opinion but i think lana should drop her sister for some time and go on with neil regarding photoshots. don't know why but lana has way more potential on the lens and chuck's niche...i just don't get it sometimes. neil on the other hand seems to understand lana and captures her vision through and through. chuck is more like...just taking snaps please don't cancel me lol
