I hate how she's counting the vinyl bonuses as official CollXtion I tracks. Like, I thought we as a society tried to forget those tracklists happened… happy we got to hear a final version of Glam!, but what was her thought process behind putting Too Much To Dream―a CLXII single―and that horrible version of Tongue Tied onto the album?  
and separate to CLXI, but releasing a SoundCloud-quality mp3 of a 2014 Sculpture demo onto CLXII, instead of including an actual CLXII version (when we know she made one), has never sat right with me… I've gotta be a hater for a second and say that's definitely her messiest and most half-assed release.

hologram hearts and girl with no face are both from 2014 according to her zach sang interview! hologram hearts was one of her first demos for troye and girl with no face was for CLX I and then reworked for CLX II and Super Sunset (and probably cape god too, it has the cape god vibe)

I loved Cape God, But this is her best album!

Saw her show in Portland the other night and WOW! I had seen her open for Marina awhile back and was really impressed, but GWNF is something special live.

Weird World, Girl With No Face, Off With Her Tits, Galina (my favorite!), Black Eye, Saddest Smile, Staying Power, and Truly Dreams are all 10/10

For whatever reason, I kind of glossed over this album when it was released. I always liked her, but her earlier stuff really did it for me.

Downtown is one of my all time favorite songs and gives validity to the claims that my playlists are too sad 

Anyway, I went back to listened to GWNF a few times today and wow, now I feel dumb for not listening to this sooner. I probably tried to listen to it in a certain mood, didn’t get too far and wrote it off. My first impression sometimes fails me. I think Cape God rubbed me the wrong way. It definitely has some solid tracks, but had some others I didn’t care for that much.  

 

This new record feels really well rounded, a very consistent vibe and a jam that I can really work with. 
 

Weird World, Girl With No Face, Off With Her Tits, John and Jonathan, Galina and Saddest Smile are my favs, with the last being my absolute fav, probably. I love the title track too. Ugh it’s hard to just pick one. 
 

Another random note, I always loved the album art of hers where she’s carrying a book and papers are floating. It inspired me to go out and shoot something similar. I’m still working on taking pictures of myself and it took a ton of takes to get a shot that I was sorta satisfied with. I lowkey wanna try a shoot like that again, lol. I even know a few old churches that look just like that one below, but I wanted to be original:
