fessle 730 Posted October 17, 2014 1. JAZZ CAFE. ALLL VIDEOS. So good. Loooove this show in its entirety. 2. So beautiful. My favorite version of MDM live, ever, made me fall in love with the song. I didn't love the studio version until I heard this one. 3. This one from Brussels...idk why, but I've watched it so many times. It's nice. And the rest have been mentioned already 0 Quote 8/1/13 . 8/2/13 . 5/16/14 . 10/4/14 . 10/11/14 . 5/30/15 . 7/28/16 . 5/20/17 . 1/11/18 . 2/11/

Wilde_child 490 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) I love that Paris concert to bits! My attempt at a top 5: The Paris' Off to the Races live on studio; Body Electric in Hackney 2012; Burning Desire in Germany on Paradise tour; http://youtu.be/sqS_kkKjuh0 Cola in Milan 2013 (so lively, sweet and sensual -- Lana is really into it!); Dark Paradise in São Paulo, 2013 on Paradise tour. None from UV coz I love all her live ones she's been doing now in 2014, specially West Coast. Edited October 29, 2014 by Wilde_child
Anthem 1,558 Posted November 12, 2014 This is absolutely my favorite live performance by her. I don't know much about technique with singing, something about this has stood out to me since I heard it shortly after finding her. I love the rawness of it. I used to have an mp3 of it that I'd listen to on my phone. I think her voice is so beautiful here. Obviously this was amazing. Her voice and face.. this was so emotional on top of being well done. I love this because 1) I love OTTR and 2) she just looked like she was having so much fun. She doesn't look nearly as happy these days or into the songs as she does here. She connects with the fans well too. Finally, Cola when she came to Atlanta in May. Why? It was the first time I saw her with my own eyes and I almost cried. Still one of the most memorable nights from this year. 1 Quote Goddesses don't speak in whispers. They scream.
Thunder Revenant 20,961 Posted November 12, 2014 Body Electric at the Itunes Festival. So emotional and touching, she really sounds like a mermaid singing a haunting song. The "Rock" version of Body Electric as performed in Frankfurt. I love this live version of the song and the Frankfurt performance of it was flawless. Heart Shaped Box Cover, performed in Copenhagen. Great cover and great performance! Carmen performed in Luxemburg. I attended this concert and it was sooo magical. Cola as performed at he Bravalla Festival. This performance feautures the perfect mood for this song. There are a lot of other breathtaking performances, like kind of everything from the Jazz Cafe performance, multiple Blue Jeans and Million Dollar Man performances etc. but I think these are my 5 favs. 0 Quote Just do it. Just do it - don't wait!
HEARTCORE 18,971 Posted December 9, 2014 I came across this performance yesterday and...my God, it's way better than the studio version.
LifeisBeautiful 152 Posted December 12, 2014 I don't know why I can't seem to quote posts but I just want to comment on the previously-posted "Ride" video. This was one of the 1st Lana performances I watched and I found her just fascinating here. The way she smiled briefly at the end then started to look very sad and contemplative, the way she held onto that mic like it was her lifeboat, how she closed her eyes so much and her lashes kept fluttering. I thought she must have been a really thoughtful and sensitive person. This performance super moved me and still does now
Gecko 247 Posted December 12, 2014 Nice thread! My favorites live performances are already posted ... (the iTunes festival on all .... then also Ride on Langs de Leeuw, Ultraviolence at Vancouver, MPG at Carcassonne ...)But I didn't understand why no one has posted: "Blue Jeans at Tvoi UK"? http://youtu.be/A3FNNM5inAE
ilovetati 15,299 Posted December 12, 2014 The Coachella performances of Blue Jeans and Summertime Sadness deserve places here as well. And the Frankfurt version of SS...gorgeous.

nickloveslana 61 Posted January 24, 2015 1.) Video Games - Live at Amoeba Music: I really liked this performance because of her hair, and I really like the way she sings from 4:11-4:27. The crowd was seemed very intimate and nice, and it's so sweet how it looks like she's about to tear up from 4:30-4:35 - 2.) National Anthem - Live at iTunes Festival: Loved her voice here-especially the high notes and the low musky notes . Also love how it's a more quiet performance (less instruments, can hear her voice more clearly.) Of course I love the other National Performances with the full band too. - 3.) Body Electric - Live in Istanbul: REALLY liked her dress and flower crown here, and her legs look stunning as usual . Great performance, and I love 2:07-2:19 where she grinds on the pole and is still able to keep her voice really high until 2:19 - 4.) Born To Die - Live in Vancouver: The way she sang Born To Die was interesting to me, it reminded me somewhat of her Born To Die Coachella Performance (Weekend 2). I was also this concert and it was perfect because it was raining while she was performing. I definitely felt the energy when she sang "let me fuck you hard in the pouring rain" while it rained . - 5.) Cola - Live in Prague: Love her dress in this one as well, such a nice color with her hair . This is one of my favorite performances of Cola, specificially around 3:55-4:05 when she does her high notes . Her performance of Cola in Olympia, Paris was similar to this one I thought, and some notes were stronger in Prague and others were stronger in Olympia. -
Ziad 188 Posted January 25, 2015 This list is in no particular order... 1) The very first performance of West Coast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSuHdD81apU 2) This performance of Without You. She was so nervous, it was adorable to be honest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzllQ1pilec 3) This performance of Burning Desire was the first one I actually downloaded and stored in my library. The low quality of the video makes her look like an angel to be honest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6eJ5VKRXWg 4) The first performance of Ultraviolence was magical and will always be better than the recorded version (in my opinion, anyway). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tnggj3gpjDE 5) THIS! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U16iKiXGuY 6) ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MUFD3W7GWM
Platinum Greenwich 13,848 Posted January 25, 2015 Uh, in no real order: I just love how the NY drawl comes out to play here. Outfit for days, vocals for months, and atmosphere for years. My show. I may or may not have had a seizure at about 2:19. "Get it girl, get it!" I love this a lot. Don't know why.
longtimeman 8,991 Posted January 25, 2015 It's been mentioned upthread, but I had a free afternoon yesterday and watched all of this It felt like it blew away lots of the cliches about her as a performer.

haterius 87 Posted January 9, 2018 Hey all, do you have a favorite live performance of a particular song? A while ago I stumbled on this version of Born to Die from the Paradise Tour and I am still in as much love with it as I was when I first found it. Are there live performances of any other songs that you think are especially incredible?
