What can I say! I'm so grateful to be present and feeling effervescent today. With a mind full of violets and a forehead warmed by the sun as I pray in the garden.

Thank you friends who helped me make this record. Mike Hermosa for kicking me off with our first four songs I wrote- all begun for fun, playing on lazy Sunday afternoons that turned into tunes w big orchestras and simple Melodies that matched each moment we were in.

Benji for supporting us and motivating us while we were figuring things out in our apartment and for all of your stories that we filmed and for your help figuring out some of the songs.

Drew Erickson for being the most incredible arranger and producer who could make a messy free-flowing unedited voicenote of mine ('fingertips') sound like a masterfully planned song that could've taken a year to organize because it's so wordy.

Zach Dawes for just being the best. Truly. For helping me meet Jon Batiste after we missed each other four times, because I rarely have new friends sit at my old piano. And for Melodie and my stunning back up singers. Only they could have brought the soul of these songs to life.

Tommy Genesis for being full of fire and a huge inspiration to me allll the time.

Riopy and AK and SYML for lending me your subtle piano compositions that are infused with melodies I only wish I could dream up. You've contributed so much thank you so much for your generosity.

Judah and Chelsea Smith for giving me good guidance even when they don't know they're giving guidance and for letting me record a part of his sermon for this record.

Father John Misty for singing with me and letting me continue to revel in his literal comic genius. Seriously, the funniest.

Michael Harris, Dean and Laura Sisk! For editing with me as fast as I can think and for sitting long hours as I do take after take. And of course, for Jack for sitting down now and then to write effortless ballads that seem to come out fully intact as though they were always there. And putting the icing on this cake. And for being such a lovely friend, and also for giving me Margaret.

Neil Krug for these pictures that say 1000 words. Usually I have so little to say and why would I need to when I have your photos that tell so many stories because your eye is masterful!

Anna and Pamela thank you for being in my life and doing the most to make me feel as naturally embodied in my photos as I do in the garden I'm sitting in now. Ben and Ed- for being all things to me all of the time.

So it's coming out in March and thank you to you guys for listening! The music is for fun and for you and for me and not always free unless you're streaming ha -but spirited with the best intentions!
