#glimmeringdarling 4,629 Posted November 7, 2016 The fact that Subversive is a possible theme in the upcoming album excites me so much.. I never would have thought Lana would top the 'Ultraviolence' theme but she really managed to find another intriguing word.. 'tending or intending to subvert or overthrow, destroy, orundermine an established or existing system, especially a legallyconstituted government or a set of beliefs.' Hopefully based off of the definition we will get a more rebel like side of Lana, and less of the victim side.

LAman 3,223 Posted November 8, 2016 I had a dream that Lana released a sampler of the album and it was all slow and melancholy with strings. Then when I checked LB in my dream, all of y'all were having meltdowns. LOL I had a dream the other night that LDR5 was released, and I listened to a couple songs...it was worse than HM. I'm honestly not expecting anything better than HM, but I love HM now, so I don't mind. I feel like I remember ppl from LB having meltdowns too

TRENCH 15,450 Posted November 8, 2016 How do you all take in a new single/song? I do it in a dark room, all lights off, headphones in, close my eyes, on my bed propped up as soon as the song drops. this is what i exactly do
leaked_version 10,499 Posted November 8, 2016 He said he didn't think so it would also be a quite terrible album title, tbh. It would a) turn many ppl off and b) others would expect something really political which she can not pull off, quite frankly.

It would a) turn many ppl off and b) others would expect something really political which she can not pull off, quite frankly. I'm not sure it's fair to say that she can't pull it off. She's obviously becoming more politically inclined, and she's always been a thoughtful and intelligent person. Almost everyone is engaging in political discourse right now it's not really fair to say she can't make a statement if she believes it's important enough

She is also not very outspoken politically, which I personally like. It keeps things around her mysterious and doesn't transform her into a whiny, preachy bitch. Thank God she ain't no Gaga. And to write political songs you need some sort of eloquence in your lyrics that she simply lacks.

And to write political songs you need some sort of eloquence in your lyrics that she simply lacks. I guess to me, it seemed like that was notable because she almost never tweets, but she thought this is important enough. She also made that speech on instagram about how getting older has made her want to have faith in her political leaders. She can also write a critique of the way things are now without being whiny. I didn't mean to be argumentative or anything like that because I get what you're saying, but it's hard for me to accept someone saying that she can't pull off something she's never tried. In my experience she has done very little that she hasn't been able to pull off. That being said, I don't particularly want a political album. I'm honestly tired of hearing about it in general, but I wouldn't mind a departure from her normal lyrical content.
Wynwood 19,967 Posted November 8, 2016 subversive would literally be the worst and dumbest album title. idk why yall are convinced that its the title when its only her instagram bio
Lust 4,031 Posted November 8, 2016 subversive would literally be the worst and dumbest album title. idk why yall are convinced that its the title when its only her instagram bio Did you guys see in the Lana q&a thread eclipse made @subversive asked to describe ldr5 in one word and he said your username...
Lust 4,031 Posted November 8, 2016 Do you guys remember the Instagram that's followed by Ben Mawson and Blake @notoriouswhitegirl ? Some ppl think its lana and this is probably a huge ass reach but don't "notorious white girl" and "subversive" have very similar themes? Unless I totally misunderstood the meaning of subversive lol

kristinaj 1,168 Posted November 8, 2016 I seriously doubt that Lana would give away the title of her next album in her Instagram description.... subversive may be the theme of the next album somehow but I don't think it's even a song title she's been working on
Rem 2,392 Posted November 8, 2016 I'm sure Lana has trump fans stanning for her. It's better that she's not so politically involved. Neutral. You don't want to segregate and alienate your fans.

Unless I totally misunderstood the meaning of subversive lol My theory is that Children of The Bad Revolution and Brooklyn Baby are close to revive in this album! "Run for our lives They got all our chains Let's hope that we merge Create our own games DJ's, rock stars, posers we are The new politicians They're celebrity editions And it's so pornographic then it's tragic Nothing magic makes us free To be what we wanna be, wanna be" "I'm talking about my generation Talking about that newer nation And if you don't like it You can beat it Beat it, baby" I don't know that much about decades, but maybe... 90's? (I watched a Kurt Cobain documentary once and I kinda associated ) Imagine how tumblr will be if this is really true
