I’m pretty sure the background vocals are...

Can I get a fucking hallelujah?

Looking at me like a race car

Can I get a fucking hallelujah?

Slipping on you like a Coca Cola

Can I get a fucking hallelujah?

Looking at me like a leopard skin

Can I get a fucking hallelujah?

Slipping on you like a Coca Cola

Anyone get anything different?

Would’ve loved to hear this bridge alone

I can definitely hear 'Can I get a fucking hallelujah' but I'm not really sure about the rest.

Did anyone else catch a connection between this song and the Burnt Norton - Interlude? She talks about entering the "rose garden" and now her "rose garden dreams (are) set on fire by fiends". I mean she loves roses in general so it could be a total coincidence, but I love finding hints in the lyrics that connect her songs to older ones.

yo. so i was listening to this last night. so far up to this point, I HATED the verse and liked the chorus. there was one line that always sounded rushed and stupid to me and it was "It's like smiling when the firing squad's against you, but you just stay lined up." but then last night, i realized she was singing about black beaches in this song. idk if i was blind before, but this song ties together a lot of the songs on the album. so it got me thinking about 13 beaches "with dripping peaches, i'm camera ready, almost all the time" and i realized "It's like smiling when the firing squad's against you, but you just stay lined up" is about her being "camera ready all most all the time." i now no longer hate the verse to cherrrrry.

so now i think this song is about her fans and fame. she falls to pieces with the love of her fans, but it is also the love of her fans that drives paparazzi to follow her to her meditation spots/beaches

i am the queen of the universe. the waves part, and they engulf me, and the water is warm.
