The melody is really great but I think many people here just don't like the (cheap) production/trap beats. The song could've been awesome if it was executed like "Change" (sparse instrumentation, no beats).

I hope the Cherry vid sticks with the whole Twilight Zone thing she had going on in the album trailer, I was really hoping the whole album would match it but I guess the BAR mv was kind of in the same vein but it lacked the destintcive era retroness (sorry bad wording I’m really tired!!) I thought it was stylized nicely but a little too futuristic, maybe if someone put a b&w filter over it’d be cute . but anyways back to Cherry mv I still have hope that it’s coming and I want witchy 50s sci fi political queen back. someone come snatch her outta that H and put her on vevo

 

edit: now that I think about it, the music videos we’ve gotten so far actually do match the trailer, they just don’t look exactly the same like I was imagining in my head lol. I’m excited to see what she’s done with Cherry especially because sonically I think it matches the concept she had in mind during the trailer really well

Imo it's not. There's still plenty of people who don't know that song. Well thought-out promo, video and that's it. But ofc it's Lana and her team we're talking about.
