but who cares about that tho? i don’t get why some people bring that twitter negativity over here. it’s enough for the right people to get the message and see the bigger picture in lana’s lyricism, not everybody is going to understand it

So if she’s giving us everything on time this era, then we should be getting the next single “Rock Candy Sweet” on June 1st and the album on July 4th!  And hopefully the album cover is the first pic she posted with Blue Banisters caption in that blue denim shirt. ??

i think it’s kinda a good thing that the reactions of this release is kinda mixed. i’m really waiting to make my final thoughts about the tracks because sometimes they don’t immediately resonate with me.

right now, i really cant connect to blue bannisters because it seems kinda too personal to her with the constant name dropping- i do really love the end of the song though

textbook, i really love the verses but the chorus hasnt really hit me yet.

at first, the mixing at the end of ww bothered me in earphones, but now i cannot stop listening. it’s such an exciting song lyrically and vocally. i really believe it’s her most exciting song since lfl. electric guitar and better mixing towards the end would have made it godly

people want to villainize her so bad, someone said the lyric has nothing to do with the rest of the song and she's just making it about her daddy issues but the entire chorus is about rewriting history and she says at the end she wishes her father was there to do it with her cause he's passionate about it too.

Wildflower Wildfire was so gorgeous too.. love the lyrics & the beat coming in towards the end.

it's so powerful & inspiring that no matter how much bullshit she's gone thru with the media / critics, she's still not afraid to be so vulnerable and honest in her lyrics. There were so many times where she considered leaving music, and I don't think people would have blamed her if she did. But she pushed through the pain, criticisms, and misunderstanding that she often received from the media or the general public... she chose herself, her passion for music. Lana is a fucking icon & I love her so much - she has truly done so much for music in the decade since she rose to fame.. she's inspired so many with her art. Her star power is rivaled by so few - her legacy will live on forever omg I'm RAMBLING I'm sorry y'all.

TLDR; Lana gives me so many emotions & I'm so grateful for her music + this community.

All 3 of these songs are thematically very heavy. And I love that. I really appreciate Lana’s vulnerability because she doesn’t have to put this all out on the table. But she does anyway.

the cocc/nfr comparisons already just cause yall heard some piano

if anything this is giving ultraviolence's successor but it's still very much its own thing. the unconventional melodies and rough production work together harmoniously and the revealing lyrics to top it all off really pack a punch. i think she's found the perfect balance between songwriter and poet, some of her best work ever.

I don’t understand the hate for that BLM line? I thought it was just there to tell us the timeline of these events

Performative? Idk it’s not a political song its just mentioned cause of the time frame right?

When she whispers “hot fire, hot weather...”
and sings with breathy vocals at the end “like the others baby, burn, burn, burn” in WW

I ADORE the covers. Let's not forget - this is the girl who filmed the music video for her breakout single on a web-cam and she edited it herself. They are supposed to be rough and 'imperfect' as is Lana's life she's singing about. This is a continuation from Video Games and I love it. Thank you Lana

the way Blue Banisters sounds so simple and yet expensive at the same time.
