  1. Oh my God I forgot about Something Real
  2. Two new songs out: Valentine & Ghosts of Lovers Past Ghosts is definitely my new favourite from her. Valentine is amazing too. She's done so well. I wish there were more songs. The progression of her sound is so beautiful

I think this album overall has stronger songs than currents. I think that may be an unpopular opinion? imo Currents had 3 or 4 amaaaazing songs and the rest was just okay but sorta really fillers. This one seems more consistently good, but also doesn't have songs that truly stand out to me? But still, they aren't fillers and I'm not complaining. I would argue to say this is his best? I am certainly taking it better than Currents to begin with (which I know is legendary but it took me a while to warm up to because I was so used to his older sound).

I think Violence, So Heavy, 4aem, and MNID are highlights of her career. It is probably gonna be my favourite album of hers because of those 4 and New Gods when that is out. Delete Forever can be deleted forever tho. I wouldn't mind hearing it on the radio but I wouldn't mind never playing it again.

Not keen on the song. Bet I won't listen again tbh
  6. The Nightmare sound is possible but not for Experiment on Me. That song is only a product of her collab with Bring Me The Horizon, which happened July 2019- definitely a side project. But when was the majority of Manic written and produced? I don't know the timeline but it would be very interesting to disect it.

I thought she was doing well in her first K12 shows .But now I'm. Ugh. Not sure lol. If K12 vocals really became limited because of her vocal ability dropping, what do you think were her best vocal moments? In songs or onstage. I think Bittersweet Tragedy had some of her best. As well as Toxic, Crazy, Mrs Potato Head, Cake. Not much on K12 is very remarkable, even if I love listening.
  8. Television Heaven TV in Black & White For K, Pt. 2 I Don't Wanna Go You're Gonna Love Me If they could get past the first 2 without too much judgement, I think they could 'like' her music, or appreciate it but not be a stan. But if i only include released songs: Terrence Loves You Cherry Chelsea Hotel No. 2 WTWWAW Big Eyes I think they could, but it would take someone who really appreciates softer music or cinematic music. Like, they would have to be in the right mood and then I'm sure they would check out her other songs.
  9. I have a love-hate relationship with Love. When i first heard it I felt like I was in a dream, and I actually really connected with the meaning, and was so convinced that Lana's best era was coming. When Coachella came next that just amplified it. I totally fell for the 'she's woke now' shit. It wasn't until I realised it was really just a phase, and these songs were getting stale after a few months, that I saw the LFL as the messy release and messy themes that it did turn out to be. And I mean those 2 songs got stale because she intended them to be timeless, and to be like a time capsule of 2016/2017, but it's really only surface material. I think she was still trying to find her connection with her young fans (which I think she either gave up on or is still trying to find) and her footing with her political views, and the 'newcomer' vibe was just so strong. It was so clear she didn't know what she was doing, even though her intentions were good. She was only at the shore of educating herself and she didn't really get any further in the end. I think her political messages came out too late, and that's why it feels really outdated to me, like it missed the point, like she was wasn't at the right pace for that time. And now I can't listen to Love without thinking about that, even though it was so glorious for the first 2 weeks of release.
  10. Omg haha I totally get that the remixes put people off SS, but it was the first song I heard that made me fall in love with the album, and now that this new demo leaked it's just getting stronger in first place for me! I already loved it so much before the remixes made radio-play so it didn't really affect me much. Oh yes and thank god OTTR made it's way up. I don't really hate Radio but it's down there because it doesn't really have meaning to me like the other songs do, and honestly, it's not 'bold' enough for me anymore Omg ive never seen this performance. Her shirt. Her hair. her face. How shes actually loving this song.

If it's the metal/pop combo that you like, I would recommend Hide and Seek (album by The Birthday Massacre). They blend the rock sound with electronic and pop vocals in all eight/nine albums that they have but this one I find compares the most to I Disagree.

This is actually my biggest problem with K-12 when it all comes down to it. And if production were something like this, it would would have been the evolution we expected from crybaby
  13. AKA Then: Now: Born to Die Then: Now: Paradise Then: Now: Ultraviolence Then: Now: Honeymoon Then: Now: Lust for Life Then: Now: Norman Rockwell Then: Now: Honestly the same, or I still need more time.

It sounds exactly like Nurses Office and Fire Drill but with stale production (thanks @@Veinsineon for giving me the right word). Her voice does sound cool with female rap artists but I-Scream was far better.
  17. Experiment On Me slaps. Thanks Oli Sykes for bringing Halsey back to her alternative roots

She feels the need to explain herself a lot when she gets backlash. It's not a bad thing. She just needs her pov to come across. Show and Tell and Detention express this imo
  19. Yes thank you! I wouldn't say it's getting weaker, but the recovery rate is about the same if not higher than death rates now. But number of cases is still growing exponentially.
  20. Okay but Ebola had a very high death rate and the country that it most recently broke out in basically had no health care or facilities to deal with sanitization and prevent the spread so um, just saying, it's not really comparable and we really should not refer to ebola as "overhyped". But what IS overhyped is the fact that everyone in countries other than China is dead scared they'll get the coronovirus when it hasn't even reached over 20 cases anywhere else as it's been a very manageable and steady incline. For Wuhan though, we will have to see.
  21. So true. What about Born to Die? Would that be the Itunes festival?
  22. Yeah this is why I'm still on the edge about it, cause it was subtitled videos, but they are the same videos that were taken down from the original posters. I'm just wondering why we haven't seen more footage from inside hospitals treating patients, showing that it is calm and that most patients are okay. I'm not sure about America but you can usually get it free in Australia.
  23. So I was doing some personal research this morning after the WHO update. I fell down the rabbit hole of what most people call "conspiracy" and "fear mongering" but it seems for real. Like the videos of people just lying dead on the street in Wuhan, nurses crying and shouting that they can't take it anymore because so many are dying. Nurses saying over recorded phone calls that the deaths are over 100,000 but it's being covered up, and that the government has not been helping with lack of supplies or anything... Idk. 10,000 dead I could believe. But maybe not 100,000 without Wuhans citizens actually realising. The spread rate is so high now that the reported cases alone are growing exponentially. And we all know that there are so many more cases than what is being detected. It's probably more than triple.
  24. I've had thoughts about it being kind of dark and sombre like organs in the verses and then bass and drums in the chorus. But yeah I expect it would be much more quiet and maybe slower than the released.
