Just from this, I'm getting the sense that this song may be about all of the disrespect she used to receive in 2012 (her last affair went brutally), but how she didn't let it bother her (I don't let them rain on my parade) and since then she's been able to create a strong, loving fanbase (I've got love on my side now.) She also admitted recently in one of her magazine issues that she's stepped away from her old "LDR" persona (I've got nothing to hide now.)
As I've said many times before, it truly does seem like this album is meant to be a development from Born to Die. So many elements of LFL have been so reminiscent of it, except with her 2017 growth of mind.

i love these eras now but i wouldn't mind if she put a blonde wig on, took out an old camera, and recorded some videos for some demos of the songs on lust for life. like i can see one for BAR, since the one we have is a demo. i think it'd be amazing. but even though there is almost no possibility that she will do that, i still love her

Piggybacking off of this: There were screenshots from her personal Facebook talking about AA meetings and AA-related events. If someone could scrounge those screenshots up, because I know people have to have them, we could easily get definitive proof she was there using archived AA documents. Well, I could do it anyway. (While AA is Alcoholics Anonymous, drug addicts also frequent their meetings.)

nah, that's not true. people with codependency issues find themselves in relationships with people who have addiction or other mental health issues over and over again. if anyone takes the time to look at their own dating history, they will start to see patterns. it's not a rare thing.

This is pretty random but... everyone says that Black Beauty is about Barrie but during her May Jailer era she had a song called There's Nothing To Be Sorry About where she says "I can make you well if you just asked me to" and "lord watch over my love" etc etc, i think this guy was suffering depression or some kind of illness and she wanted to but couldn't help him, and i'm pretty sure she singing about this same guy in Black Beauty, i don't think that song is actually about Barrie ya'll

The way that a lot of this era seems to be a kind of flip from the Born to Die era (Born to Die/Lust for Life, Lana being very mysterious and cryptic in BTD interviews/Lana being honest and open, sounding fairly sad in a lot of interviews/in a good place, always going to be writing about "the same goddamn guy"/talking about feeling like she's grown up and doesn't want to be in toxic love relationships anymore), and, since all of the lyrics reference the past tense, it makes me wonder if WM will be some sort of farewell to the man behind a lot of the BTD songs and/or the events that the album is based on and framing that around a guy and a relationship. Like some sort of "I'll always have love for you but I don't want to look for you in other people anymore" type thing?

it's truly a Lana song for every single spice of fan... y'all SHE MADE THIS SHIT FOR US, SHE WASN'T LYING. ALL THE SAD FANS, HAPPY FANS, MATURE FANS, SLUTTY DADDY ISSUE FANS, FANS STRUGGLING W ADDICTION, bitch this is the album of the century. we don't deserve her.

Killer doesn't have to mean a literal murderer (although it could, see: K). It's an expression that has many meanings in different contexts; for instance, people warning Lana he's a killer could easily mean he is a bad man/womanizer/bad for her, etc., per her usual themes

There are two possibilities regarding the insta post with the coke allusion. First, maybe it's not real and she's trying to be edgy but hunty Halsey is occupying all the faux edginess space now. If it's real than I'm starting to get where her social awareness is coming from (at least the coke is making her more aware to anything).
