When I first saw the black and white trailer for Lust For Life, I wondered what all those mysterious symbols meant and thought they must have some kind of connection with the songs the album will contain. With the songs we know is going to be in the album, and with the snippets Lana has shared with us, what are your thoughts?
The shown symbols were:
A red strawberry (at 0:17) An hourglass An antique wine glass Planet Earth (Hearts from Lanas eyes as she gazes the Earth) A telephone A cooking pot/pan A galaxy X♥O A griffin (?) A moon Planet Mercury A balloon whisk The planets of the Milky Way American symbols (Mount Rushmore, Statue of Liberty) Edit: a ladder To be honest, I'm not sure if there really is a connection between the symbols and the songs anymore. I mean... a whisk? That was probably for the "What shall I cook up for the kids today?" part of the monologue. But on the other hand "XO" could've been a symbol for "Love" and the wine glass might have been for "Cherry". I also think the American symbols might be for "God Bless America".Maybe this is her way of telling us the tracklist? Will the album end with GBA?
Also, do you think we'll see more of the space theme? I loved it.

This is the CURSE that alternative artists face (I know she has a fucking major label but she is not a mainstream artist, face it)
As soon as ONE song get's big, and gets overplayed, everyone judges and hates them. Even if it's a remixed/reworked song.
 
 
Same thing has happened to basically a lot of my favourite artists of different genres who made it briefly into mainstream.
 
 

Why she be releasing like 8 snippets of change, just put it on itunes and appease the gays for 6 and a half minutes.

West Hollywood is a magical place, but I still wanna know why Lana's been frequenting it so much these days.

July's such a tease, I feel like those who'd fetishize the wait would have their eyes roll back twice and still feel dry afterwards

Lana wake up girl, release cherry. roses bloom for you, a clip, a tracklis, anything..  im tired to see candids of you going out in West Hollywood

and i agree i want her to be extra and loud and downright obnoxiously orchestraic but god forbid she goes back to BtD or YaB-esque sounds
id only want cherry if:
 
A. the song was shortened for live performances, allowing another 45-90 seconds on the song. come thru with more vocals and verses 
 
or
 
B. The instrumentals were wildly different and more outgoing and gave the song a new breath of air to compare to the live instrumentals which are more stripped back, low, and slightly bare (OttR is a decent example of differences)
 
if neither of those are an option she can keep it until July 21 

I miss the sense and sound of Luxury is what I meant  , but I think what ya mentioned sorta translates so I'm just like  with a facet of 

Oh my god I honestly forgot that we had Best American Record and Fine China to listen to brb

Listened to Sad Girl today, it's so fun to strut to it when you're walking outside right before the sun sets 

Well, I just have a feeling that God Bless America is probably one of those tracks we'll love on the album, but won't get til who knows when. 
 
Yosemite sounds like a track about peaking somehow, so slow, anthemic, more contemplative (like looking down from the top idk), so that's probably gonna be at the latter part of the album? And if that's true, then chances are thin.
 
Cherry sounds like a mid track on the record.. we have already heard it tho, so I agree with ya on that one. I wonder if she's teasing all these snippets to help her decide which one she should release next. 
 
 
Everything's been so blank this cycle, I feel like my imagination's running in circles for things that aren't even validated   
 
But I do agree, something diff from Cherry

id rather something completely new; we've heard cherry- we may have not heard a verse (like how cruel world is shortened) and the basic instrumentals but thats it. we have people making hq audio of her performance of the song to listen to, I just want GBA or Yosemite p l e a s e

I always thought Driving In Cars With Boys was like a prequel to Love or sequel, idk. I think its in the production. Yes To Heaven would sound so sweet on LFL because it's about her just living on, not idolising the man as much as she used to which fits the theme. Its kinda like 'come along and love me too, but I'm not gonna let you control me if you dont" Hollywood would be great if it was made to sound a bit like the Lust for Life production Maha Maha would be so cool too and would really satisfy the witchy side this too is my biggest dream. i just want her to sing it live tho

I don't get all the hate about daisy chains. You know the entire thing isn't gonna be just her voice in the background of incoherent mumbling, there will be more verses than just what the snippet sounded like. I think it'll be a sexy bop. Also the other song they did together was dope. Have faith people

Also, I have an interview with target tomorrow, just in time to be working there when they get LFL physical copies in 

I love the meaning behind Change, but I just ca't get into it on a sonic kind of level. Maybe the entire track will change my mind tho. Also, I loved White Mustang

So, after simply listening to Driving In Cars With Boys, I had an idea. How bout make a thread on Lanaboards, asking the peers on which songs they thought fit the LFL themes, and vibes.
