I was thinking of something. A lot of us are really pissed that the album is delayed. But a lot of us don't really like the 2 main singles. And it's pretty obvious if anyone decides to read this thread.
And this album is dedicated to the fans, so they may have delayed the album to change it a little to make it more "fan-friendly", "Cherry" may be the result of this decision.

+ I think Lana's music is optimized for summer so I'm cool with the idea of a summer release (and it's less than 2 months, it looks far but it absolutely isn't)
++ I dreamt that LfL was an EDM album with major dubstep stuff in it. It was an awful nightmare.

Why do we care about Lana's promo?
I know it is nice for us to see our good sis climb the charts, but overall it is all about us enjoying her music personally. I have always thought that Lana wanted to stay out of the spotlight, and therefore it makes sense that she doesn't want major promo.
 
Also we complain about lack of promo but really we have a lot? For example, the festivals, trailer, radio premiers and music videos. Yes it is not as much as other artists but like Ben said, Lana isn't fame hungry. In a way I feel like the way how Lana is promoting herself right now is all about her fans. For example, she tells us the release date on Twitter which her fans will see first. Coachella - Woodstock was released like a special surprise gift for her fans. Her trailer had a lot of references to her fans, as did the Love MV. Maybe she wants to keep the release low-key because it makes it more exclusive for her fans.
 
And honestly you all get so frustrated, when really music is meant to be cathartic. The album will come in time, and it is not healthy to get very obsessed over it. In the meantime, enjoy Lana's previous records and chill. Worse things could be happening

I don't get how after one tweet people are suddenly saying Lana has lost her passion for music and no longer cares about her fans etc.... I hope y'all are just being dramatic atm because I honestly don't understand why suddenly some people think she's lost her passion? I don't feel like anything has changed, and I still love Lana a lot, but maybe I missed something? 
I don't mean how people feel about Ben, I don't care about him, I mean it seems that some people are losing faith in Lana for some reason? And I don't know why all of a sudden after that one "July 21st fam" tweet things just fell apart here?
 
IDK, this whole drama on here has made me really sad. I hate when everyone is at each other's throats and arguing like this! Hope it's all just ppl being emotional/dramatic/extra atm and that there's no real hard feelings?

Even though she said the album is for us, I also feel like this is just as much for her. I think she really enjoys recording songs with others and feels happy with having them on her album.So I wouldn't worry, I'm quite sure that Lana is the happiest right now. This is a new experience for her as well, I think.
 
And, off topic, yas "Blackest Day" instrumental is my favorite to listen to... SO good!! Has anyone tried to speed it up too? It sounds totally different then..!

I don't want an Ultraviolence rehash per se. I found a way to describe it now: I want her to work with other producers who can push her and influence her sound. Like, Dan Auerbach made Ultraviolence a classic.
 
I want her to work with other producers who can push that level of music out of her. Like, it would be cool if she worked with the guys from Tame Impala, or Stuart Price, or Jake Shears. I want a producer who will push her and give input, etc. I feel like some of the people she usually works with don't push her the way she could be.

I had to go back what felt like 100 pages to see what Ben had said - I can't help but to feel sorry for him, he seemed really frustrated... but yes, you can let your frustration be known without sounding so angry. That last line felt unnecessary to me...
But I guess fans have been nagging a bit too much in him. I suppose I would lose my cool too. :/
 
I'm just glad we finally got the correct release date, now I can (try to) focus on my exams instead.
