Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
HEARTCORE replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
Personally, I think it's more like Big Bad Wolf in terms of demos - two versions exist but neither of them are exactly 'demos', just the common one and the alternative one. I think the 'final' version of Motel 6 is just an alternative version to the one we already have, whilst the acapella one is the 'demo'. -
@@Rebel has a fantastic playlist in the Your Favourite Lana Playlists thread, which really encompasses all of her best released songs imo. It's well worth a listen for any newish fans.

I really like it! Very dark and powerful! I'd lovvve to hear the MP3 of it. (btw - 'sad lips' HELLO LANA)
-
I really like the Dan Heath Orchestral version because I think it packs a lot more emotion and certainty than the studio version.
-
I think it's too light compared to her other albums. Both WR and INL are dark as fuck.
-
I've been listening to I Never Learn and it's just as fantastic as Wounded Rhymes is. Don't really like Youth Novels, but her later two albums are so fucking amazing.

"Track 1 Track 2 Track 3" WHAT A CHEATER
-
Unimportant update: the acapella for Electra Heart (song) has been uploaded to BetaTraxx's SoundCloud
-
REALLY hoping we get loads of fuck you tracks in the style of You (Ha Ha Ha).

I wish I did do drugs so that I could forget the atrocity that is the Carmen video
-
The bridge of this always gives me goosebumps. The "I can see you bathing in the summer light/You turn to tan and you look terrific" part is just so supremely written and sung.
-
I HATE the video for Carmen SO much

Unreleased Songs For Me To Listen To?
HEARTCORE replied to UltraviolentJack's topic in Lana Thoughts
Just one question - which version of Making Out, On Our Way and Driving In Cars did you use? Cause I know there's the autotuned & regular versions for MO, acoustic demo & final for OOW and the 'regular' voice & monotonous voice for DICWB. -
Unreleased Songs For Me To Listen To?
HEARTCORE replied to UltraviolentJack's topic in Lana Thoughts
Just wanna say that these playlist are amazing cause I was looking for ones with the songs done by year -
i recently started listening to Wounded Rhymes and god it's just incredible. her voice is so unique and her lyrics are so powerful. haven't listened to the other albums yet but Jesus, WR is fantastic.
-
Ah okay, I had no idea about that. Thanks for the heads up!
-
um I think she's just humming at the end of the song; I don't think she's actually singing anything
-
'Understand my white lines' - can you understand my drug addiction? Do you understand why I need to take these drugs? Can you understand why we're on these drugs? There's a variety of meanings for the phrase imo
-
god I can't express my hatred for Moi Je Joue in words...that song is so AWFUL.
-
I hear 'comprende mis/these white lines', with 'white lines' linking back to the drug theme that's prevalent throughout the whole album.
-
I hear "Baby, I’m a cinnamon girl/Keepin’ it fresh on the far East Side/Baby, I’m a dynamite girl/Keepin’ it and cut your cherry pie". 'Dynamite' makes way more sense to me than 'tenement'.
-
I keep hearing 'Come on baby Tommy, lil' tattooed ass feature'

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

We don't know, really. It might be because Lana preferred the other tracks on the deluxe, but there's no true reason as to why it's a Target/French/Japan exclusive. -
