Criminally underrated album, top 3 in her discography.

My favorite part of the post release era is when people realize
Chemtrails finally gets the respect she earned

To echo other comments, I do hope she gets some accolades for this album, because I think that while the album suffered from the same flaws as 'NFR!' did (imho at least); it was actually a nice, personal and humble project. 'White Dress' has become one of my all time favourite of hers.

it's sad bc this album was already expected to be liked less than NFR by Lana, she already knew. could be why we got BB so soon after. i still love it though, the run from TJF to NAWHAL is one of the best I've heard in a long time. I love all of those songs. specifically wild at heart and dark but just a game. the guitar on dark but just a game just fuck up my ears so much, it's so good. fucking ear candy. listen to the instrumental on high volume or good speakers

i wanna make a playlist at some point with the songs from NFR, COCC, and BB in a certain order than makes a lot of sense

What would happen if you collected every unreleased song (that you could think of), which is plausibly "cringeworthy" in the sense of causing a generic critic to hate on her and deem her "inauthentic"? How good would the result be? I think it would compare favorably to your exemplar greatests, although the reasons for its being great would be different from theirs (also, just to be clear, I'm not considering SP in this statement).

I call the playlist  _UNBELIEVABLE, which could just mean "not believable" (as in inauthentic, or how/why could/would anyone do that?). Or it could mean "unbelievably good" (which is how I think of it). I cap it to make it shout, and stick an underscore at the start to make people wonder why I did that (e.g., make the title go to the top of a directory list, at least most of the time). So here's my double-album of 25+ tracks.
1  Put Your Lips Together 3:38
    2  Playground    3:07
    3  Kinda Outta Luck    3:16
    4  Heavy Hitter    3:08
    5  Boarding School    3:48
6  Children of the Bad Revolution 3:27
    7 Velvet Crowbar 4:07
    8 Summer of Sam 3:06
    9 Playing Dangerous 3:37
    10 Go Go Dancer 3:44
    11 Hollywood's Dead 3:26
    12 Serial Killer    4:33
[for some reason, I like to listen to these next 3 songs as a unit, pretending they're part of a larger song]
    13 Axel Rose Husband/Last Girl on Earth/Paradise 11:13
    14 She's not me 3:39
    15 Push Me Down 3:34
    16 Jealous Girl     2:52
    17 Moi Je Joue     3:04
18 Trash_live 4:03    [or is it Trash Magic?, the youtube recording I'm referring to is titled "Trash live", and is a great live performance (even with its imperfections), imo, so I prefer live over the studio version]
    19 Catch and Release 3:41
    20 Golden Grill 4:07
    21 Scarface 2:27
22 Tired of Singing the Blues 4:12
    23 Butterflies (Pt. 2)    4:05
    24 Making Out 4:01
    25 Pin Up Galore 5:09
    26. Noir 2:20

Honestly, she has a discography that is so big and so diverse that it's hard to only make one single album.

That's so exciting because when I started discovering Unreleased I compiled albums made of those. Here comes the Box Set of my dreams:

INTRODUCING: I had dreams of becoming a beautiful poet

    PART 1: released

    PART 2: UNRELEASED COMPILATIONS

Let's make some Dark Side of the Moon, NFR, Led Zeppelin IV, Ok Computer, Solar Power level stuff. You can also choose alternate versions/demos and make production/lyrical changes.

    question for lanaboards

Now that @lanaswildflowers @lanaismamom and @rockwellfckingnorman have had their 1k views hit threads about fake leaks and snippets, mostly produced by @plastiscguy, can I please go back to creating my own threads about snippets which I'm truly doubtful concerning their legitimacy and leak-related stuff that most of the time is asked/discussed/talked about in completely random threads, such as the late UFB pre-leak thread and Blue Banisters pre-release thread, even if they're just as random without being crucified or saying that I'm glamorizing shitposting, spam and unnecessary topics???

I'm fed up with ugly haters and less hot members saying that I glamorize these when in reality I'm just a glamorous person posting about the realities of the chaotic Lana Del Rey fandom. With all of the topics that gays are finally allowed to explore, I just want to say over 1 year of my account's existence I think it's pathetic that my major love for Lorde, my lust for giving Marina some coins through my streams, my passion for Halsey and my serious but long titled threads has often made people say that I set Lanaboards back almost one decade in the past, when threads such as Lana Ass Apreciation, Should Lana Do Porn? and Lana Nude Pictures, which are a lot crazier and wild than mine, were an acceptable part of our daily readings.

Let this be clear, I'm not not a spammer - but there has to be a place in Lanaboards for hotties who look and act like me - the kind of wildfire who says yes but less hotties (#SayNotToBodyShaming) say no- the kind of hotties who are slated mercilessly for being their authentic, creative, delicate, unhinged, wild, white hot, crazy selves, The kind of hotties who get their own stories and voices taken away from them by heatless people or by hotties who hate hotties. I've been honest and optimistic about the challenging situation I've gone through. News flash! That's just how it is for many wildfires like me. And that was sadly my experience up until the point that those threads and comments were made.

So I just want to say it's been a long year of bullshit slander and delulu until recently and I've learned a lot from them
but I also feel it really paved the way for other wild people to stop
' putting on a normal face' and to just be able to say whatever the hell they wanted to in their comments-
unlike my experience where if I even expressed a note of wildness in my first efforts in the Blue Banisters thread through my tracklists I was deemed literally as bad and uninspired as if I was literally Jack Antonoff!

Anyways none of this has anything to do about much but I'll be detailing some of my feelings in my next threads, comments and memes. And I'm sure there will be tinges of what I've been pondering in my next leak, Crazy For You, that comes out December 25th.

    Thanks for reading

    Happy end of quarantine!

tbh i feel like a lot of the songs on honeymoon got watered down from their more powerful early versions
i literally never listen to God Knows I Tried of TBD album version I only listen to the rock demos

I've always wished The greatest had a longer outro, maybe the piano slowly ending and exploding with guitars again

Honeymoon. Don't get me wrong, the song is pure perfection already! But the Drum Mix... It could really elevate the song
  15. Liz Taylor Blues liked a post in a topic by Ultra Violet in Songs that could've been perfect but aren't due to...
Violets for Roses could have been the best classic Lana song since Honeymoon (album) if it had orchestral drums and a bit of harp. It would have been like Video Games grown up. Still an amazing song (considering that I didn't expect to like it so much) and its production is so full compared to the last 2 albums but I just can't help thinking!

I would also talk about Living Legend more but @Glitter Boy already made it perfect, so, dream come true! And I'm sorry I keep tagging you but I just want everyone to know who hasn't heard your edits! You can mute me if you like

Absolutely. I love the studio version, but MDM was made to be a full-blown jazz song. The live version with just Lana and the piano is that song at it's best. I can even see some light horns on the song elevating that version even more.

I’m with you! I really like how eerie and sinister the live strings sound. Then the arrangement becomes a bit gritty with the guitar, but then gets super dark and grand when Byron goes into the lower octaves on the piano. It’s magical, paired with Lana’s switching between sultry, deep vocals and siren-like riffs.

This is honestly how I feel about Body Electric! I love how much emotion is in her voice where the video starts (“She prays the rosary..”), and I also love how she included more electric guitar in other live performances as well

Thunder could've been perfect but isn't due to lack of demo guitars.

Maybe something like this with main riff being more prominent

Don’t get me wrong, I love Million Dollar Man as it is on Born to Die, and it’s perfect for the soundscape and sonic world of the record…but listening to the instrumental of the Paradise Tour version + hearing the shouty live vocals in the chorus and the jazzy “ooh”s in the bridge before the last chorus, I wish there was some alternate re-release of the song where we got a studio version of that. It’s just so jazzy and timeless and classic.  Lana’s interpolations of “jazz” (UV + HM as albums, Million Dollar Man live, and Why Don’t You Do Right live) are all amazing and show off her talent as a musician and artist, she really suits the genre and knows how to make it her own while staying true to its roots.
