Also you know she had to hate how critics who hated her pre NFR music were now fawning at his feet, and how he was getting all the credit for her most critically acclaimed album. Thats not normal for producers to be treated as the geniuses behind the record.

Obviously this just speculation but I think she fired him as a producer. She’s clearly bugged about the Lorde thing ( as well as with COCC it seemed like he was undermining/ overriding her on the production being done/ not as wild as she wanted, his remarks in the inyerview a couple months ago.) We know that Lana is 100 percent in charge. That’s not to speculate that they are no longer friends or on good terms but she clearly decided to go in a different creative diret, scrap the songs she made with him for this project, and I doubt it was with no hard feelings

I feel like Thunder is the lyrical older sister to Shades Of Cool. They’re both love songs dedicated to troubled men who Lana knows are flawed and distant and will probably never satisfy her in the long term. 
 
But Shades feels a little more tortured and depressed, and the haunting instrumentation has a lot to do with that. She understands the man is unfixable and she’ll never understand him, but she still calls him her baby and vies for his attention over other women. 
 
Thunder’s a little more grown up, where she again accepts he’s unfixable and distant. But this time, she doesn’t try to love him despite his flaws and compete for his attention. This time she’s just like fuck it, I care about you but you have issues so you might as well leave like you always do. She’s at peace with their dynamic. She’s not chasing him anymore.

The first song Text Book mentiones a thunderbird, in the last song Sweet Carolina she sings "baby blues". A thunderbird and "baby blue" occur in the unreleased song Baby Blue Love , recorded in 2010. Also in Daddy Issues (also from 2010) she sings "baby blue" and as we know Text Book is about daddy issues.

He posted the cover on his IG story the day it was released and wrote "Beautiful", so I don't think there's any beef/drama.

If I had to choose a record for Lana to provide commentary on (similar to the brief one she did for UV), I think I would choose Blue Banisters or Honeymoon. 
 
Arguably more than any of her past records, Blue Banisters is just chock-full of obscure references, conversations, and symbolism. I’d even love to hear more background on the production choices of songs like WFWF and BBS; the tracklist selection process would be really neat as well given how narrative-driven it is. 
 
If she does another livestream, hopefully one of the gays will mention something from this to her
