Wow, I mentioned thinking the intro to "Get Free" had a similar opening to "Creep" in some other thread about half a year ago. I thought I was crazy because nothing happened, but I guess this confirms it. Pretty stupid they are suing her though since Radiohead also was sued for taking that chord progression from The Hollies..don't understand how they are the ones doing the suing

But it's only the pre-chorus lmao the rest of the song is completely different and way more diverse than Creep

They're probably just sour that Get Free is a better song with better lyrics.

yeah i feel like the songs are similar (especially because they have the same end rhymes [weirdo, manifesto]), it makes it feel unintentionally inspired. But there is no way creep constitutes more than 40% of that song, if that.

They could have compromised with 40% which Lana so benevolently offered to them. They will lose the case for sure. They don't deserve even 1%. Bloody Greedy Motherfuckers

why does it have to be get free   what even is creep, like... get free is that song, a work of art and one of her best songs to this day. i'll gladly give them coachella or gl tho if they leave gf alone

Where are the youtube videos that compare both songs? I can't find any? I don't think they sound similar enough to go to court. They want 100% of the publishing? Let's mash up Get Free and Creep and call it Greed!
