Pretty sure that technically nothing is stopping them from releasing Is This Happiness and Flipside on streaming anymore, next time Lana goes on a longer live chat, ask her for that. Speaking of which though, Flipside was never really considered for UV. It was recorded as a rough one day demo at Nightbird and they pretty much just decided to mix it and release like that. Good for us, cool song that would have been lost.

Rock Candy Sweet seems to just be a phrase Lana liked, it seems to be originally stemming from a song called Loved You Then Loved You Now she did with Jack, but later also used it in Watercolor Eyes, but one is not a rework of another or anything. Watercolor Eyes is a song that can be very much considered a BB outtake though, but I'm 99% sure it wasn't made yet when Lana announced the former Rock Candy Sweet album.

This is interesting…I mean, not to sound like the stereotypical Lana fan who wants *everything* to be a drug reference, but whether intentional or not, this kind of adds more layers to the song. To say that “I’m going down now” with all of these things that appear to be very pure and heavenly in their appearance, with connotations of old, generational wealth — but really, are code for darker, self-destructive substances—makes the song so much more chilling and impactful. She is a lyrical genius. 

Is it true that the entire chorus of Your Girl is just sung by Patrick Warren and edited to sound like Lana, cause his acapella was incomplete?

they're still lana songs – i mean like the lyrics and melody and vocals are all legit, it's just the production that's not quite right.... so i feel like they aren't fake enough to be deleted unless you're really a purist  and if you are a purist like that i am so sorry that fine china and your girl are tainted  but personally i will not be deleting anything from my library

and the way yall tried to attack me for not going into details about a topic that i barely understood at the time myself... the way some ran to call the files "fake" or "stem edits" like it's not by the same producer who used whatever he had to re-create the originals as close as possible (your girl pretty much same as the og) and actually creating some unique versions in the process for songs we would otherwise not have... eclipse demanded versions won i fear  "stem edits" ma'am all songs are made from editing stems together and mixing it, this wasn't some fan playing around on fl studio 

mind actually blown re: let me love you like a woman UV version...the bridge is so good, the fact that she used it as a pre-chorus is so intriguing!! adding to my list of leaks i'm dying to hear. also dying to hear melancholia still, and based on how incredible the demos for LFL and BPBP are i have no doubt LFL album outtakes are incredible.

@BlackoutZone Do you know if Lana has some kind of contract that doesn’t allow her to upload Flipside, Is This Happiness and WC Radio Mix on Spotify? Burning Desire was an iTunes exclusive too, but it was later uploaded on Spotify. How does it work for Jp/iTunes/Target exclusive tracks?

That chopped demo of Trash Magic that we have is most definitely composed of two separate songs. I know people claim that that is not the case but you can tell that they weren’t recorded together. It’s mist definitely an experimental concept demo that her and Steve tried. It would also explain why Trash Magic was called “Miss America” at one point: 
The “new portions” deal with a girl listing typically American things as the only things that are “real” to her.
 
Anyway, I don’t know if there is a full song. I think they may have just recorded new portions to paste into Trash Magic but that demo sounds so fucking wrong. Different pace, different sound quality. It just…it doesn’t sound right and I don’t trust anyone claiming that that is how it is.

After those two full emotional days, here are my thoughts this morning (not that anyone wants them, but still): 
- Im kinda glad now that I don’t spend a lot of time listening to demos and even leaks. Of course there are some I love, but it’s mostly songs that I feel are « finished ». I honestly feel we don’t know nothing about our beloved albums anymore 
- UV and I’m sure LFL are the two eras that have the best leftovers / outtakes 
- to whoever wishes Lana sits on an album and not rush it before releasing it: BoZ brought up the fact that there are some amazing songs from 2016 that never were on LFL. 
- I wanted to hear Dark City so bad but knowing it’s an unfinished song: 
- I now want the final Fine China on an official album so bad 

Don't! These aren’t stem edits done by a fan. They are rough mixes done by a co-producer from Rick's team. They don’t use a lot of the original stems from the songs but he added other elements and production.
Technically, it’s a rough mix/edit done by him (Patrick Warren). That makes it somewhat legit but it isn’t the original Rick Nowels demo.

i was thinking about this with Making Out, too. i remember years ago when we had the autotuned version leak, then the normal version leaked, but I'm still feeling funny about those. I have both versions, bc as far as i know nobody has discredited either of being real.
 
Also, I want the uncensored version of Meet Me In The Pale Moonlight. 

I never ever listened to this "You & Me" song and the way it sounds like 389489489489 songs mashed into one.  The strings reminds me of Body Electric (and Serene Queen), the melody almost mirror-ing "baby I'm a four-alarm fire" from Dangerous Girl... 

"try hard to remember the day, sick as fuck and selling yay', diamonds and getting blazed; tattoos still magnificent, no longer high but you're not very different"  truly a magical song it breathes hot lazy wake-and-bake summer mornings
