Next time you edit your post to remove the Wikipedia plagiarized plot summary you realize after posting shows you didn't know what the film was about, you might want to be a little quicker.

Oh, and you left out the part about "his imaginary friend, an idiotic version of Adolf Hitler".

I think the real issue comes down to the farming/slaughtering practices when it comes to (most/not all) furs. If you check Elle's links, it seems the furs from this company comes from China which is notorious for animal cruelty in the farming industry and there are ample videos of live animals being blanched in vats of boiling water to purge the fur off for leather and animals being skinned alive and then the meat is usually discarded. I cant say for a fact that is what THIS company is doing, but that's what most do. I try to buy leather that's in state and from free range farms / tan my own hides then take the hides to speciality taylors.

I did mention after that I am against farming just for fur/skin, they should only use whats available and left over from animals that are ate. I just think if the governments came out and said plastic in clothing was to be outlawed and made illegal it would be a good thing however if they came out and said fur it wouldn't make sense to me since it is a natural material not doing any harm. It would need to be done right like no farming just for the fur or skin, plastic clothing can just never be done right it's always causing damage to me anyway.

I do eat meat and I don't have a problem with it, I feel thats what we are mainly supposed to eat and probably what we evolved eating. Most grain etc we eat now has only been farmed for thousands of years at most and things like fruit and vegetables were seasonal things people probably only ate now and again where as meat was always available and probably the main food people ate.

I don't think everyone could not eat meat even if they did billions of animals would still die, think of all the extra land needed for faming pushing animals out of place closer to cities and towns were they will be hit by cars and trains then all the rabbits, squirrels, moles, mice, rats, birds, foxes, hedgehogs etc that are squashed up in farming machinery every day if everyone was vegan it would be like 25x more.

She really recycled the outfit she wore to a summer concert in a Christmas special... We love a sustentable, global warming conscious and environmentally friendly queen

Understood. I feel the same way. We fell in love with and were seduced by a phantom. Thus, the ‘Vertigo’ references on my part. It’s interesting how her ‘glamour’ period actually seems to have reflected the original meaning of glamour: a spell placed on something by elves or fairies to give it another, better and more attractive appearance.

I’ve made a playlist called ‘BOLDR’—‘Best of Lana Del Rey’—and most of it is from her early LDR period, including unreleased gems like ‘Angels Forever’ and ‘Hollywood.’ It also has a smattering if tracks from HM and LFL. I added CG and TG from NFR to it, but found I felt irritated and like I was fooling myself every time they came up in rotation, so I have removed them.

This is exactly how I feel about the album, I think Lana would probably not like me using this term, but to me NFR is uncooked.

I cannot stand hot flat and lifeless the production and mastering are on this record. We could argue that this was an artistic decision on her part, to make the record sound more "rough to the touch", and I think that it may be it, but it's just not the type of sound that I actually like, it just sounds lackluster to me. I'm still not over how unbelievably tinny the piano sound on this record... and also how dry the guitar come off.

I think you've mentioned it in a previous comment, but like The greatest, one of the great songs on this record, it just lacks that climax moment. I very much feel that. Also, I don't like how the vocals sound just super muffled and flat all at once (and also Lana's enunciation here too). To me, after the first chorus, the instrumentation should've pop off and climax, but it just lacks intensity... and that's not just on this particular song, most songs on the record suffer from that in my opinion.

I fully agree with your views on Looking for America, I've personally listened to the song just a few times... it's one of those songs on which I really appreciate the message, but it doesn't make me appreciate the song for a song, if that make sense. Same thing goes for Hope. Love the lyricism, but the song itself is quite dull to me (sorry).

There used to be a distinct vision on her records, but NFR it feels quite unfinished I find. The last great Lana songs that I've really enjoyed was Get Free if I'm being completely honest. I honestly try to listen to NFR in its entirety from time to time, but I just cannot get into it. I never thought I would use this word to describe Lana's music with this word, but it's quite boring. I didn't like Lust for Life, and still very much consider it to be my least favourite album, but looking back I can definitely pin points aspects that she did better on it, than on NFR.

hmmm... maybe not the film I would see in public if I were a celebrity facing a lot of recent criticism for choices inconsistent with my professed liberal values or possibly signaling a right turn in my beliefs

Yeah that is a problem, I would say if you are killing animals for food then you can use the skin but I wouldn't like to allow killing them for the skin only and definitely not skinning or boiling them alive.

China is still mostly very poor which is why their treatment of animals is worse as peoples way of life is much worse also. We think nothing that a lot of stuff we buy is made in China were workers are like slaves making our computers, phones and clothing.

Why do people really think this though. If we were outlawing things based on helping the environment surely using animal products would be a good thing, there is no downside to it - it already exists and you barely have to do anything to it to turn it to clothes you don't even need machinery if you don't want. Faux fur is much worse than real fur, it's plastic and causes severe pollution to make and then disgard of - it makes no sense to me how the bad thing is seen as good and the good thing is seen as bad here.
