I love the album and listen to it everyday. I can still hear the mistakes. They are not mutually exclusive.

I do not find pleasure in the misery of others, but it's actually quite hilarious coming here and seeing you acting like Jack is the second coming over Christ and acting like NFR is Lana's only great album, just because the same sucky critics that overlooked Lana's entire discography up until now woke up from their long winter's nap and finally gave her some sort of recognition. Also, acting like this is literally her only interesting album.

Cultural elitism doesnt make for a good debating argument, yet it showcases a problematic way to look other people at. Don't really see the point on taking what should be a healthy, funny discussion towards music, to a series of nonsense, personal attacks within the forum members. the only main thing i didn’t like about NFR compared to other ones was when they mixed CG, they shouldn’t have blended the vocals from the pre-chorus and chorus. It sounds rushed and like a production flaw that wasn’t intentional, even if it is. I hope that same thing isn’t showcased on another album like that. Speaking of i wanna hear a demo of that track tbh and see if it’s like that in a demo or not

Just because, me, or other people do not like certain aspects of the album and think that this critical acclaim thing is bullshit, do you honestly think we hate the album from start to finish??
 
There are obviously skips and cringe moments (both lyrically and production wise) on this album, but it still a decent record.

i really do not think that any of us are convincing anyone to not listen to the album...i actually love them album but does that mean i can't be *slightly* critical of it? Once again - "critically acclaimed" is bullshit for the most part, so you can get the delusional thoughts out of your head now...

Here's a thing Jared, all lot of people think the production on NFR is literally the most lackluster and bland of all her albums. You guys can try to convince yourself that the production/mastering amateur mistakes were intentional and add to the so called "charm" of the record, but it ain't it. Jack is not the musical genius you make out to be, and that's that.
 
Here's another too, accolades don't mean crap. Critics echo one another, and this happen to be Lana's least controversial album to date and we're past the days of Lana being considered a manufactured no talent Daddie's little girl. People (even her harshest critics) now consider her an interesting artist. 1+1 always equals 2.

Where does this crap about Dan Auerbach being a macho man comes from? Last time I checked he literally fought for Lana to release Ultraviolence against execs at Interscope?? They both had nothing but good thing to say about each other from that time period. Sometimes having a little bit of a challenge in the studio is good for you, not always having a yes man agreeing with your every decisions. 
You're just pissed because Dan was actually able to create something Jack did not on NFR: an intricate, atmospheric and cohesive soundscape.

They might be washed up to you, but at least they don't put (alleged) amateur-ish mistakes/flaws make the final cut to add so call "charm" to a track (or to a certain extent: a whole album).

Am I the only one imagining WHF as a cinematic, mellow and jazzy album? The title makes me think of the aesthetics of Honeymoon; Lana with a big hat and sunglasses, during a hot and sunny summer day, laying on the bitch listening to music like Terrence Loves You.

i know she said NFR was gonna be red hot chilli peppers influenced and have that kind of vibe and obviously it didn't really pan out that way except for a few songs, but i'd looooove to hear that really come to fruition on WHF   i love the idea of songs that can blend the intensity of burning hot, sexy, summertime tracks like Freak and Burning Desire with the psychedelic, lackadaisical vibes of tracks like Venice Bitch and maybe FIILY. a few lil cute folksy guitar songs would be cute too, maybe some desert rock vibes like we had on UV (i'm dreaming of more songs like West Coast  ) and maybe even a cover of Californiacation or Under The Bridge    a girl can dream
