this. also, some of these kind of take you back to the BDT aesthetic, the style, the make up, the FACE. I personally think this is so her: short shorts, denim jacket, racing jacket, gold hoop earrings and jewelery. I love it so much for that too

I really liked this shoot since it reminded me of some of her older BTD era shoots

The interview is so enlightening about her relationships and justification for Ultraviolence. 
There were a few moments that made me cringe tho: most notably how into the LA wellness culture she is (just jarring as I've recently been looking into video essays of how toxic and scammy it is). Hope she steers clear of the problematic parts, but it does sound like her psychic is definitely good for her.

Do whatever you want, no judgement here - but I have to say that for myself, listening to leaks is like spoiling a surprise. I want my first time hearing the songs to be with the HQ m4a files I bought myself rather than having to run the risk of low quality, “tagged” (aka bastardized) versions. Maybe that’s a bit purist, but I think some things are worth saving for the right time - and it gives you something to look forward to! But I get that when we’re so excited to hear the songs, we jump at the chance to hear them lol. It’s human nature!

I don't give a fuck if she gets cancelled or not when grown ass men can go on antisemitic tangents in public and support Neo-Nazis all over the media and still have a fanbase. Until that day comes where women aren't held to a completely different standard, I don't give a FUCK about some cringeworthy line in a deep cut.

At first I didn't like the song's title, because my mind instantly reads it as American and Whore which seems oddly disjointed to me lol. I thought it should be AW or A.W. instead
But I've now learnt to appreciate the song title's double entendre with the iconic American root beer brand A&W 
Absolutely love the song, I've been having it on repeat this whole week. I feel like this new album is shaping up to be something really special and groundbreaking. It will definitely reach success levels on par with NFR, but even higher I believe

I honestly think sweet will surprise people because the descriptions of it and lyrics we have seem like it will be good, I think people just took the “love song” of the album too seriously  I don’t think it will actually sound like love song, but rather just be a more heartfelt lowkey moment

I’ve been in my nu metal era lately listening to a ton of Deftones & Nine Inch Nails 
the transition reminds me sooo much of nine inch nails 😭 how does this woman give me what I want and need EVERY TIME 

Thinking about how important it was that she released the title track first...so much of that song is concerned with cultural memory and the very human desire of not wanting to be forgotten to the the labyrinth of history, and after listening to A&W, I get this sense that this album is Lana's metaphorical swan song (not literal, and no, not into retirement either); it's her loud declaration/expression of her dedication to her music and her art that will cement her as a force of nature in the music industry. Her Ray of Light, so to speak.

The way the Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd song is about her fear to be forgotten like the actual tunnel and she is asking when it's gonna be her turn.
