Every song on this damn record is just so good, they're all standouts in their own way! She truly delivered a record showcasing her beautiful voice soaring over such classic-feeling compositions - thematically it's probably her most existential record and I really appreciate her willingness to always be vulnerable. She's certainly done that on this album and it's seriously my favourite. I cannot get enough of it and I'm so happy it's finally out

Has to be one of the most powerful lyrics I have heard in a while. It’s hauntingly beautiful as everyone has moments they wish to recreate with someone or a time when things were so much simpler. So well done I want to cry forever to this one.

The production on this album kind of reminds me of Violet, and I think while NFR and Violet have lyrical synergy, I would say Chemtrails and Violet have a bit of sonic synergy.
 
The instrumental of White Dress as it builds up reminds me a lot of the drums used on various Violet tracks, like What Happened When I Left You, and while it’s not part of Violet, I was especially reminded of Patent Leather Do-Over, which was also produced by Jack. 
 
The brief piano interlude between the first chorus and second verse of Dark But Just a Game really has a lot of colours musically and reminded me of Happy and the overall classic-feeling compositions on Violet. 
 
 
There’s this instrument that I can’t place - it’s probably some sort of keyboard synth - that almost sounds like a rainbow in a cartoon (LOL) that we hear in the background of Tulsa Jesus Freak and in the atmospheric intro of For Free. It is also used in Sportcruiser (you can especially hear it after she says “...wash over me like the foamy tops of the sea”).
 
I just think these similarities are really cool. There’s a lot of colour and atmosphere woven into this record in the same ways as Violet and I love both projects so much. They both contain this classic, timeless feeling while having these little quirks that give them so much personality!

Like I feel like she was insecure about Chemtrails because she didn’t know her next step in life and having that formed into an album was really making her uncomfortable because she didn’t know how we would respond to it. Maybe that’s why she sent the album to the vinyl plants so late because she was like 3 months with music ready but with a lot of doubts about what to do with it.
now, with RCS she already knows the sound and the way she’s taking. So, even though I have Lana trust issues, I’ll say it’s pretty probable that she’s really releasing it in June. Even her management liked it.
she deleted the stories because they were, you know, pretty polemical. And about the Instagram and the yt, she just released an album, her team still wants the album to have attention and they deleted it.

What if the project she said she was thinking of for a long time, and now wanted to release, is basically The Revenge of Lana Del Rey (which she's been thinking of since before BTD)... she named it RCS, sure, but what if conceptually this is the anger album she's been mulling over since AKA... And finally she knows how she wants to go about it? 
 
This is dumb I know but I'm just wondering what may be 

Last night I finally connected with Yosemite Was a little disappointed at first, it was nice and sweet but felt distant, but now...can’t stop crying, it’s just so powerful and present. Especially the “how deep was the canyon that you came from” part.

So, Yosemite is finally growing on me. She still could of stayed a cute unreleased girl, that someone leaked a few years from now. But yeh

that's a really cool find thanks for sharing this!!! it makes me wanna add (Wanderlust) to my version on iTunes

Ngl, it's frustrating to see her shine again after all those controversies and then read that review.

It's the way ya'll care more about reviews than Lana. 

I wonder if they'll be some newer photos from this era as it seems the cover is a shot from her 2019 Q Magazine shoot and the Yosemite picture is from her 2018 visit there. I understand if not as I'm sure COVID has made photoshoots a bit difficult, and I'm always down for any sort of unseen pictures regardless. In any way, I'm glad for another magazine to add to my collection! I was just thinking last night actually if another magazine would come soon x

Today I was so bored that I read the most random forums ever. Those made me curious about Lana's birth chart and horoscope.

i love art & music that is polarizing, experimental, etc. so this is really promising! i think the squeaky "no great" vocal work is going to amazing, and imagine if the track's vibe is similar to the outro of cotcc, something melodic and ghostly...
