I raise some monarch butterflies and I named one of them Norman a few weeks ago. He hatched today and I played him Happiness is a Butterfly before he flew away.

Every time I go to start this album I find myself just replaying the title track over and over. It’s just so good. The entire album honestly blows me away, I can’t believe this collection of tracks turned out to be one of the best I think I’ve ever heard. Still doesn’t knock UV off her seat but I think it easily fights with HM for second place for me

Also, I’ve been seeing a lot of negative members in here a lot lately, criticizing every little single thing about her from how she talks to her facial expressions, looks, not liking the album etc... eww... IMHO. If you don’t like the album fine. State your opinion and MOVE ON. We don’t need to read your constant paragraphs about how much you hate it and dislike Lana now... also, there is some of them that come off as trying to be super edgy and going against the grain, because they see everyone else like something so they feel the need to be the ones that are against it... YOU’RE SOOOOOOO FREAKIN COOOOOOOL. lol.
Anyway... idk why but the title track is so addictive fml.

I read the review and it’s definitely not a positive one. As mentioned before, it’s full of backhanded compliments and implications that Lana is trying to be some sort of Joni Mitchell/Fiona Apple knock off. I do agree that the critic is just doing her job though, and I don’t know why she chose this one to freak out at when there are definitely worse reviews. Perhaps this is just the straw that broke the camel’s back.

I don't think the review is positive, it's actually full of backhanded compliments. Her songwriting is being called unoriginal, she's still being accused of creating a persona to become famous and the reviewer is annoyed that her lyrics do not promote female empowerment.
 
I think the only positive that's being acknowledged is that she's improving compared to her previous works.

Bird world as a serious contender... Glad the superior album title won in the end. I wonder though if there's a song they didn't include called bird world that would've served as the title track / if some weird love song or nfr demo exists that was titled bird world

Now the critics just have to go again through her whole discography and make the good reviews they sould've done at the proper time.

I feel like crying. She started the decade being the clown everybody laughed at and now she's among the greatest american writers, and icon of our generation and one of the most influential artists of the century...

I pray for anyone that doesn't like Bartender... I hope it grows on them eventually. For real, sitting in the dark and enjoying the lyrics over the soft piano is so good
