I don't remember the exact words I used but basically I told him to stop playing with us saying that art takes time when Lana herself confirmed since January that the album was done, and that the era was a mess and he was doing nothing to make it better. Maybe you saw it, my name is Hugo.
It was when he answered hearts and claping hands to someone criticizing him by telling all Ben and her label wanted was a hit song and she wasn't free to do whatever she wants.

What's the point of churning out album after album year by year saying how much you ~luv your new songs~ while rambling about how much you ~luv touring with my road dogz~ when the majority of your setlist is made up of shit from your first major label debut album. 

Sadly most of the people who goes to her concerts (especially festivals) are not her fans and are trapped in 2012 when Lana used to wear flower crowns and be a lolita or whataver. These people go to her concerts and ask her to sing songs like Dark Paradise, Lolita, Serial Killer etc so no wonder why she keeps singing those. I don't blame her, I blame them.

Idk, but West Coast is one of her highest-charting songs and so is Y&B and they're not so overplayed at shows like OTTR is, for example

She looks like she’s just going through the motions on every live show. ‘Off to the races races *holds microphone to audience for them to sing half the lyrics” she looks bored out her mind of these songs. I probably would be too. Fans actually want the newer songs nowadays so it’s ok for her to sing stuff from other albums.

It’s pretty much how artists are doing it with festivals these days: a setlist made of greatest hits rather than the new stuff. BTD is still her best-selling album, so no wonder she includes so many of that album, though I am tired too of hearing them live.

Well, other than MAC and VB, i don’t expect her to say anything NFR-related, especially with her Tweet this week. Seems out of her hands.

Ben removed my comment from his last Instagram post, as well as many other comments. I wasn't even insulting or anything. I was pretty diplomatic. Maybe some of you saw it lul. But speaking the truth isn't allowed apparently.

Orange Trees is such a summer song. It’s like 25 degrees out and I just listened to it while sitting outside and it made me love the song much more.

I think she loves this song so much because she has the personal connection to the Greek island she's singing about. Unfortunately for her, fans just don't really have that perspective, so we have to relate to the ideas of positivity, happiness, and love (which, some of y'all bouta be real mad at me, you depressive folk can't relate to) and those are far more bland topics than what we're use to her writing about. The production of EH was of equal quality; Marina was just writing from a more unique perspective we don't hear in pop. Truly think that Fear will be the more praised side of the album, at least lyrically. 

why does everyone hate the song? it's a cute summer bop.. she's securing that #1 summer anthem
 
eh, i've personally never heard a song like orange trees b4 and really like the reminiscent lyrics and watery vibe. but don't worry, she said the experimental "classic marina" tracks were put on fear so that should be exciting

I guarantee you she’ll do a 3 minute version of VB. No way she’ll do the whole 10 min track for a festival

she's literally one of the most unproblematic artists out there who doesn't actually do stupid shit / collaborate with dumb people. she does her research and is all around honest, most of her "bad moments" aren't actually bad and are just little things that bother her, 'like that FROOT looks familiar' was just her commenting on Charli's post (this was dumb, but not working with a racist / homophobic / sexual assaulter dumb).  the poor thing was her getting annoyed over YEARS of the same joke, which is fine. she really isnt pretentious at all.
