but like...he still filmed an underage person? As for the prison thing, he should be in jail. The US justice system is a joke so it doesn't surprise me he isn't locked up yet.

The amount of dragging some of y’all are doing is a bit tew much. Saying she isn’t as talented as a writer as Adele, Nine Inch Nails. The former writes basic adult contemporary songs to appeal to the masses and the latter relies on great production to mask violent, hypermasculine lyrics. I’ve even seen Mitski referenced as some untouchable god here when even she’s admitted Lana was a huge influence on her lyrics.

It’s one thing to be frustrated with this release cycle, but to dismiss her talent on her own forum to look ~*edgy*~ is petulant af.

I love going back to BTD because it reminds me of being 16/17 and sunny days drinking smirnoff ice in fields but now I am 24 and old and need her to sing anything else

I know it's been said here before but Lana is a misfit, she always has been. Like she's always wanted to be a part of something, a group or a clique it seems. But she was always the outsider and I feel like for a while she owned it... but it probably is one of the factors to her depression. I'm happy that she has friends and I do hope they are genuine. But I agree that she looks out of place and as if they're all in on this thing and Lana is the joke.

go back a few dozen pages when there were some clever parodies made of TIWMUG for the baddie version
this hit home... i relate so hard. It feels like I'm always on the outskirts of every friend group, and I'm constantly the person who has to put in the effort to create plans or maintain a friendship. Especially where I'm from, I feel so different from everyone else my age. I'm just glad I found a best friend two years ago who's always valued me. Sorry for this little blurb

I just read on Twitter that BTD has spent 316 weeks on BB 200 and that’s it’s now the longest charting debut album by a (solo?) female singer.

We all would like that, we'd rather just not get our hopes up in case the album cover ends up being a pic Chuck took the day they recorded the visuals for the whole era

the fact that a baby could've been conceived while a couple listened to Venice Bitch and that the child will probably be alive by the time this album comes...

At this point, this might actually be a bit foreign to me, which overall kinda says much on a personal level. But I actually wanna see how deep this record can hurt. The delicate lyrics are already there, even if she veils them through playful delivery, still doesn't make them any less true imo, I wonder if this and some other reasons are why she's still holding on to the record so tightly bc of how personal it might seem, almost as if she's waiting for us simmer down to be able to listen to it. /

Atm though, I'm a bit numb to it, so it'd be a difficult thing if she released it soon, I'd probably have to listen to it when things felt right, when I'd b better prepared for it, just emotionally more than anything

I honestly can't believe they are just letting all these publications and websites keep printing the march 29th date without saying anything it's so shit

I think it's safe to say that the tone and narrative of NFR is that of a very hurt woman who is going through a phase of lamenting her past, which happens right after deciding to get over it (on LFL we see her finally choosing a life-changing path, often blinded by her new-found optimism) and prior to actually gettting over it (whatever comes next).

On songs like Cinnamon, she's basically asking her lover not to do her wrong like everyone else. On HIAB, she accepted she had her standards (for men and life in general) too low, but at the same time there is a positive feel to it -- she suffered so much that there's barely anything she can't handle now ("What's the worst that could happen to a girl that's already hurt?").

Venice Bitch has some of my favorite LDR lyrics of all time. Her problems and life experiences made her cold-hearted ("Ice cream, ice queen") and now she's doing her best to open her heart again ("Fear fun, fear love [...] Trying to be stonger for you [...] I'm sweet for you"). It didn't work for her and now she's lamenting her past again ("Oh God, miss you on my lips") and is doing anything to get him back; she's repeatedly telling him to "come over" and get high with her because "[they're] older" now (perhaps a metaphor to her being mature and open-hearted now).

What if this was purposefully a drawn out era. Hear me out. Lana wanted the era to be one year long and have sprawled out singles that evoke the seasons.

    Fall 2018 = MAC / VB

    Winter 2019 = HIADT

Spring 2019 = HIAB/IYC give me spring vibes

Summer 2019 = Cinnamon possibly? Or NFR title track

    Late Summer/ Fall 2019 = the album

lmao who am I kidding I'm bored

Do you REALLY think Ariana is that free to release anything she wants? Lmao she literally just released a total cash grab album full of Max Martin trap-pop produced tracks. She’s fully a product right now. Lana would be forced to record BTD-type tracks and promote it the way we know she hates. So yeah, Ariana’s career is really well organised but she’s no way as authentic as Lana.

this is the kind of content I want to see!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/10

I know MAC being the album opener is predictable but when listening to L4L into NFR, the transition between Get Free and MAC would be so amazing
