The more I listen to this album the more I love it tbh. This Def would’ve been received better if it wasn’t for the inaccurate descriptions they gave. It’s a very solid summer album, but it’s not really anything more than that. And I really don’t need it to be more than that. I love a short clean polished pop album. It’s doing the same for me as Troye’s new album, which I replayed a Lot.

feeling so let down. I feel like this whole album had bangers on it then Lorde hit her up and was like hey girl.
 
houdini is still the best song.
 
maybe this album will grow on me. 
 

i definitely think the cover/random switch up in visuals makes a lot of sense now listening to the full album... training season/houdini are the most different on the tracklist 

I was reading some of the old threads from 2017 and found this (a transcription from Summer Bummer/Groupie Love premiere radio interview):
So TLSP collaboration sessions lasted from December 2016 - March 2017, that's interesting  I wonder how did the sessions overlap with LFL sessions. And sometimes I wonder, how much of their work supposed to be LFL because the registration date of California is kinda suspicious, it was registred in 2017 with other LFL tracks...
 
And I really hope that they kept the tracks because I remember Miles said that there are enough songs for one album.

Hi judges. This week, I am taking Shark Week *quite* seriously. I am posing on an 100% real shark, wearing a gorgeous one piece, paired with white leggings. The hair is a bit much, I must say, however it's CRAZY, which is the vibe I wanted to give off. The shark isn't going to eat you alive, but I will!

i think this was a great explanation which is rare coming from Lana  However, I could definitely see the " I had it worse than most" comment being taken poorly, but I think it is just a moment of Lana not understanding how her words come across. I think when Lana says that she means in a completely different way than people are taking it. From what she has said about her early days, she did not have support financially from her parents, had seemingly been somewhat taken advantage of by her label with the 9-album deal, and was in a series of bad relationships. She did have a hard time with the beginning of her music career, not to mention her early age alcoholism and seemingly emotionally abusive mother. Especially compared to people like Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande, and Beyonce who had lots of financial support and in the case of Ariana and Camila, backing from major television shows. I don't think she thinks that the people she mentioned in qftc didn't work hard (and some of them did have sad backstories) but I do think she felt very misunderstood by people who think she just came from "daddy's money" and don't actually understand the hardships she went through before Video Games blew up. I don't know if that makes sense but it is just my interpretation.  

Lana is a gorgeous and well-kept woman, she will be hot at any age. 

i could never be famous, seeing people constantly discuss my looks via age and weight would drive me right into a psych ward 

no matter how oddly she worded it, she had every right to defend herself and her right to sing about her authentic experiences surrounding love, relationships, submission, emotions, pain, and being a woman however she wants! all i can really say about it without going on a tangent lol
