its probably because marina's stuff has gone viral recently, whereas a lot of charli's viral stuff has been unreleased songs or unofficial mashups

2017:
Lana thanked in the booklet of her album Lust for Life (2017), writing "Thank you Marina - for your friendship and your art". Marina did the same two years later.

I think they stopped being friends way before qftc. I feel like Marina kinda ditched Lana. Who knows maybe they have different opinions on things or got on an argument and stopped talking. 
 

The more I see stuff like "Chromatica is her best era" and "Ava Max is a genius" and "Addison Rae comes up with great lyric concepts and is a great popstar" and seeing Charlie Puth and Black Eyed Peas listed as inspirations for the next album the more I just wonder exactly what kind of sell out era she is talking about. And with that list of influences I am less excited and more confused than I've ever been about a Charli release before. I don't know how to feel. I did like what I heard of the two new songs played at Bandsintown, and I like a lot of the artists listed in that tweet, but I don't see 1) how they fit Charli or 2) how they go together at all. I guess I'll just wait for the lead single to drop and see, although 1999 and BIOYL weren't exactly telling of the entirety of Charli.

Not really a fan of this long ass rollout but if INHA is on the album, i think i'll forgive her

the rollout for this album is reminding me a lot of a lana release - overdrawn. it's certainly not my favorite way to go about it, but i'm kind of used to it. i find myself constantly in this limbo with marina of either being super excited for the album or it completely slipping my mind all together. no matter how long we have to wait for it, i'm really hoping this album is worth that wait

I wish Marina would hurry up and release something.....all she does is rant about how she’s cut the world off and spends her time prancing around like a hippy growing vegetables. 

I listened to MW literally the first week it came out and got bored. Im just pretending it hasn’t come out yet. Cant wait Queen!

Sorry, I know it needs to be promoted and shit, but I need THE ALBUM.

I know a lot of this is prob her label's fault but she's kind of losing me at this point. She actually had me pretty hyped for this album but waiting this long between singles has made me lose interest. I've loved all the snippets, but it doesn't mean much if I can't hear any of the full songs 5 months after the lead single 

Not to mention the zine she wants to do for every single. And we’ve yet to see the first one… 3 months after the submission date 

Not an already released remix as b-side. This era's rollout has been terrible.

Her story  in what universe would ELECTRA FKN HEART be proud of Addison Rae in the lamest tick tock EVER with not even 1 oz of Electra energy... byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
