One of my friends is going through a breakup right now and I didn’t know what else to do to help her except for plug Lana’s new album to give her music to cry to LOL. I gave her a playlist consisting of 3 sections to help guide her through it - Blue Banisters, Violets for Roses, If You Lie Down With Me, and Wildflower Wildfire for when she wants to cry about it, Dealer & Black Bathing Suit for when she’s ready to be mad about it, and Beautiful & Sweet Carolina for when she’s ready to move beyond it. (Of course Sweet Carolina makes me sad and cry just bc of how I associate it with my own life, but it’s a happy positive song in spirit)
The writing on this album is truly perfect for guiding someone out of a rough time, through every step of the journey, beginning to end. It almost makes me wish I was sad right now so I could use this album as a guide path as I did with NFR, but I’m gratefully among the happiest times of my life. For now, I’ll be listening to this album & reminiscing of all that I’ve gone through and gained over these past 2 years as I pulled myself out of my own darkness x

I think they fixed Beautiful on Spotify? I was just listening to it and didn't hear that high pitched noise when her voice gets high. I checked with headphones too and didn't notice it. Gonna check Sweet Carolina cause it was bad on there last night.

NFR and BB are on their thrones as my favourite LDR records, and HM and COTCC are fighting for the third spot… I think it’s impossible for me to like an album more than NFR, because it’s literally my favourite album of all time, but BB is insanely good, I knew from the title track that the album was going to wreak me emotionally and I was right

I knew this album was going to be good, but it’s better than I could’ve ever imagined  Got me crying so much, hadn’t had that experience since NFR 
 
But I just wanna take a second to talk about the mixing on Spotify, it’s awful, it ruined Beautiful for me, such a delicate song deserves better. I hope it’ll be fixed soon with the rest of the album too. Every time Lana raises her voice, it’s like the sound saturates

Ageee!!! Jack really did iconic work with her. I don’t get the jack hate however I think what suits Lana best is switching  up producers often, since she is very dynamic.
