I think listening to the live version so much really gassed up my expectations for the studio version. I love it because it's ULTRAVIOLENCE, and I really adore the lyrics, but the production just seems a little too rough-drafty for a studio version. I don't know how to feel about the spoken bridge; it sounds so different live, so much more intimate and almost upsetting. It seems rushed and impersonal in the studio version. I'll probably feel differently when I hear it on the album following Cruel World and preceding Shades of Cool.

I can't get over how good Shades of Cool is. I listen to it and am amazed. I feel like shades of cool, once upon a dream, and black beauty are all similar soundscapes, i love iiiit

Yeah, but Cruel World will be the opening, like the "extended live version" of Cola was for the Paradise Tour,  so there is still space for an intro. The CO Theme would be awesome, especially the monologue. Imagine,  Alex saying "This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit oft the old ultra-violence" and then Cruel World would start to play with Lana doing some of her "ohooohohoooos" behind the stage ... Pure awesomeness!

Anyone else notice how the tracklists sort of coincide? This might be reaching, but...

Because it means we won't be able to get it in its highest, CD-rip quality. Because it bugs me the fuck out when songs aren't released physically.
 
And because, to me, I feel that it's a copout when artists release songs as an iTunes/other store Exclusive. I only buy songs physically and it annoys me that I'll have to illegally download this song.

I love how they both complimented each other's music (Marina on Twitter, Lana in an interview). It's nice to see female artists, especially ones in a similar genre, co-operating instead of creating conflict.
