2023 AOTY is probably going to Adele already .
As long as the Grammys keep changing her into pop categories I don't think she'll get one cause at the end of the day mainstream appeal is (sadly) a huge factor for a win in the main awards.
AOTY seems to be a fair category sometimes (for example when Kacey won for Golden Hour versus Cardi, Drake and Post Malone) but I don't know if she'll get another nomination there even if she releases a better album than NFR (she already did x2 tho )

NFR's pre-release threads will show that I predicted the level of acclaim NFR got, down to its status as a modern classic in music circles. It's something I never felt for any of her other records, including COCC right after. (Also came in with a heads up that scholars/professors/music snobs were seeing that she was one of the more influential artists of our time before Pitchfork compared her to Dylan.)
 
I don't think BB is going to be as acclaimed, based on what we've heard, if only because NFR had a sort of mythical scope of Americana that appeals to critics, and this record seems to be more personal and intimate, but I'm thinking her second Grammy nod for AotY is almost certain. Might even win in that classic "make-up for the previous snub", since there is a general consensus that she deserved to win for NFR, but that will also depend on the culture/factors leading up to voting. 
 
I don't think it's going to get high 9+ from music publications, but high 8s? Certainly. It'll be her most acclaimed behind NFR. Further essays that over-analyze her authenticity? For sure! A huge crowd coming around to her? Yep.

the video is beautiful but I think it could be used for another song on the album. but it's okay, i loved!

first the honeymoon account, now this video.... might as well just delete social  media at this point to avoid always being in the out group.  lanaboards is even a lot more depressing when everything she posts is exclusive to only a few *special* people. i'd rather not even know tbh. 

I feel so much more excited for this release than I did with COCC. God this album is going to be so good.

This is just insanely beautiful. There are 100 frames that would make incredible cover art or magazine photos. The light in the video is like literal gold so stunning. The colour grading the contrast… It looks like an alasdair mclellan photoshoot.  Her constantly doing random things like this is why I’ll always love her.

it's stupid that requests don't automatically accept when you go public like on twitter. of course i'd be sleeping and now i miss out as usual just because i don't make stalking lana online my entire existence. it's beyond annoying that this happens all the time. i hope instagram goes down again and never comes back because this shit didn't matter before social media. these days we're either all connected or alienated from each other and there's no in between. and this situation is just amplifying the already harmful "us vs them" online dynamic that no one can escape.

We say this but COCC also leaked during COVID, arguably during a worse time than this. Nonetheless the first leak of COCC was from Azerbaijan, so it makes no difference honestly. I hate to say it but I can imagine we'll have BB within the week

I'm excited + nervous to finally post here after lurking for so long . This album feels so perfect to me. I love all the singles she has released so far and I can't wait to hear the rest of the album! I haven't listened to Nectar of the Gods or Living Legend so I can't wait to hear them, it will be a special listening experience 

Now it’s only two weeks away, it means the vinyls and CD’s exist and are gonna start shipping all over the world, so BB will surely leak soon. I’m going to avoid the temptation to listen to the leak this time. I want my first listen to be with friends, having some red wine and edibles, through a nice sound system. For COCC, my first time was on the day it leaked, sitting at work listening through headphones. Need to show BB more respect than that so I need to be patient.
