She said the album was made of songs described as « a day in the life ». It surely wasn’t thought that way, but what if she is going for an intentional super long pre-release, where we get a new single every season? MAC and VB are end of summer / fall ; the live performance of HTD is fall ; Hope was winter. So a single in Spring? And the album in the summer?
It’s really a stretch, I know.

This is going to be her late-60s, stripped-down, Laurel Canyon-inspired masterpiece (with a touch of 90s indie rock) and I am restanning. 
 
I have been trying to not listen to anything recently, though. Want to experience the full album and have it feel somewhat fresh.

What I personally love about HtD, aside from the sad loyalty story aspect of it, is how she sings it to us, or sings to the audience, directly. I'm personally thrilled when it comes to perspectives, and how she's singing directly to her audience again, and back to Jim, then back to us, as if she were speaking through her journal really helps guide the narrative of the diff perspectives in the song a lot easier than her others. It's beautiful how everyone's kinda just there in their own heads while she's staying so observant about everyone elses, more evidently at least bc of the song, but then she sings how the men are "getting high as they fight, for the things they hold so dear, and forget the things they fear", like damn, what a joining moment. And even if she slips away like everyone else into her own head somewhere else, that she's still there, acknowledging in some way she's been left behind. It's like listening to someone sail thru a crowd of people, and its just heartwrenching. I'm sure we're not the only ones who've felt this way, right? God and the sheer but keen observations behind it, just like wow I'm floored -

Exactly! Kinda like that, or well at least imo, but overall, it's pretty reassuring that even if we don't have the record atm, everything we've heard so far still has the quality Lana delivers with.

HTD and Hope both are exhausting listens. The lyrical content is great however the melody and boring vocals (I know she sometimes goes high and goes like OoooOoO) are tiring. Imagine if she had the deep vocals in Money Power glory or light airy ones of Yayo on either song.

Love the story, but I haven’t listened to it in weeks. I’m waiting for the official audio too.

I wonder what LDR6 is gonna sound like. I’m hoping it’s a mix between folk and grunge. I can’t wait for this new era to start! So far all of her previous album titles have been iconic, I wonder what this one’s gonna be called.

I get that. I was honestly surprised when she released the 2 singles in September. I was expecting the era to start later.Instead, she decided to drag it on so fucking long.

As much as I absolutely loved Venice Bitch, I really wish she didnt start the promotion for the next album so soon after the LFL era/LA to the Moon Tour. Specially if it's taking so long to release.
