It's Leo's event, (lyrically altered) Young and Beautiful, duh.
She'd symbolically dress as Mother Earth and lament wondering if her children will/can still love her.

Mods - wasn't sure where to put this, chose this for visibility, feel free to move!

Hi baes, so here's a little update on the most-awaited Interviews section! Basically, @@WhiteHydrangea, @, @@Valentino, @@evilentity, @ and me are mashing work like crazy and have advanced A LOT on the section. I'm delighted to announce with confidence that if we go on like this it should be open pretty soon

However, there are some things we need in order to progress that we aren't able to do, so this thread will be dedicated to requests from the team for things like translations and if needed more, just as the thread previously made by @. If you for example know the language required for a translation and have a bit of time to dedicate Lana, it would be extremely appreciated. We will indicate you how to post your translation so that it's YOU that posts it and you get proper credit for translation as we know how tedious it can be and you deserve recognition for your help and time! And of course, you will also get credit for any kind of help you provide as this is the beauty of the project and we're particularly aware of that

This section is building up to be the most complete, the most anally organized, and by far the most beautiful Lana interviews archive ever created, and you can be part of the team!   Requests will start from the post below, thank you in advance to everyone

    Admins,

You should do another demo survey. It would be interesting to see how your members have evolved.

I don't mean to be one of those annoying freaks obsessed with conspiracy theories, but I find it insane that Lana keeps having all these affiliations with dying celebrities.

Remember in 2014 when she was scheduled to collaborate with Lou Reed for a song on Ultraviolence, but on that exact day he died!

Then Lana goes and references David Bowie lyrics in 'Terrence Loves You' ("Ground control to Major Tom") and talks about him in an interview (how Lana Del Rey isn't a persona or an alter-ego like David Bowie)... then he dies a month or two after?

Now, Prince! Not that long ago on the Honeymoon account, do any of you remember this post which read:
"Living in the land of Honeymoons & Oil Tycoons. God Bless America, the land of pink champagne & purple rain. This is my favourite perspective / nothing but white sails above and blue waters rolling in front of me for miles and miles."

Take a close look, she references "PURPLE RAIN"... and now Prince is dead.

I know that it's quite possibly a coincidence, and I'm not saying that we should take any of this too seriously, but I just find it super weird that Lana keeps referencing someone, then not soon after they're dead. It could just be that she is influenced by a lot of older artists, but I just find it so strange regardless.

Can't believe there is no Pet Shop Boys thread

Been a fan since West End Girls, throughout their entire now 30 year career and the last act prior to Lana that I consider really great.
The progression from pre-rock, to Elvis, to Orbison to Beatles to Elton to PSB to Lana

I think PSB are the natural continuation of Elton (wish they did more stuff together

Seen them in concert at least 6 different tours in the US at various places in NYC

Just released their latest lp "Super" this week. Entirely fast, no ballads on this (they say their next will be heavy with ballads).

Their song from this "Pop Kids" is somewhat of a fast Being Boring (one of the greatest literary songs)

Love Neil's songwriting and voice. Chris's music. Would it be wrong to say they invented EDM before it was called EDM (or whatever it is called now)

Wish they would do something with Lana

Wah, my brain tricked me into thinking that I've commented Serial Killer before, or maybe it was in MermaidMotel?
Anyhoo, does it need for the OP to be summoned to edit these kind of abandoned posts or can mods edit them?

I'm listening a 4:33 length version, ya know just in case there's other length of the file due to dead air or sth.
What I believe is, that even in the song it was always Cola. Never quite heard It's a serial killer.

You can see me drinkin' cherry co.. (laaah)

Though it sure can be Coke, the live video confirmed (the alt-lyric, if you will) the Cola line.

And oh how the backlyric amused me. As the song progresses towards the end, the instrumentation got crowdier and my brain is hearing all sorts of convoluted, ridic lines, one after the other. Such as:

01:11 (If summer ne'er had to happen) Sweet serial killer~ (I guess I'll see you never...) do it for the thrill of it all <--what does he do it for, then?
01:11 (This summer had to happen) <-- A plan? A trip in the summer?
01:11 (December had to happen) <-- What? Mayan apocalypse? That day we met?
01:23 (You said, (you'd) never let'it to happen)
    01:23 (He said, ...)
02:46 (If us ne'er had to happen) Sweet serial killer~ (I guess I'll see another (boi)...) .... <--just plain logic lel

02:57 (He sent an'envelope to heaven) Sweet serial killer~ (I guess I'll see you never...) <--- an envelope to heaven, no comment, maybe to reply a postcard.

    But surprise us, Lana...

The moans, the vocalization, the sweeping strings, the low-key menacing strings, the beats... easily made it one of my all time fave ;'))!!

Shouldn't there be a thread of Lana Mentioned Artists? Is there one already?
Someone should make Lana's version of the Tribute Tree

The picture above portrays progressive differentiation of timeless, undifferentiated oneness into separate individuals. In the MTWBT video, Lana lying alone on the lounge chair represents the ultimate/universal soul, the kissing/embracing underwater girls represent the souls and the competing boys represent the egos, the peaks of individuation. She puts on the music, camera's on, time begins to flow. "This is what makes us girls, we don't stick together 'cause we put our love first" - as the souls individualize they eventually separate into the egos.

The duality of differentiation and unification, or masculinity and femininity, produces the music (life) and seems to be represented by the two gramophones revolving in opposite directions. Lana also seems to suggest this duality by emphasizing her headphones with flowers, as the sound from the right ear is processed in the analytic left brain hemisphere and the sound from the left ear in the holistic right hemisphere (in general, each brain hemisphere is connected to the opposite half of the body).

The colors or lack thereof in this video are apparently a deliberate symbolism too. There is the blue color of water that can be associated with heaven and (because of the underwater girls) femininity and there is the pink color of the flamingos. I think the flamingos represent masculinity: their long necks with heads and beaks on the end look like probes (analysis) and their pink/reddish color suggests earthly/carnal orientation (as the opposite of the heavenly blue). Flamingos are wading birds though, so they are in contact with water (egos in contact with souls).

The black and white scenes represent the opposite extremes of reality: the undifferentiated oneness where everything is hidden in the timeless potential, including colors, and the purely earthly realm where differentiation reaches the point of maximum contrast, stark black and white, with no place for colors. Colors, vividness, life -- are to be found between the extremes...
