I don’t think anyone (or most) have some issue with her being religious or Christian, but her aligning herself with notoriously homophobic sects is problematic.
 
And, furthermore, it seems like her personal life — with church and her baddies and such — has become her primary focus, much more than the music, aside from her poetry. If that’s so, that’s fine, but if she’s going to quit on her music, then quit all the way. It’s not cool to keep teasing songs and an album if it’s not anything she cares about pushing to release. If it’s some contractual issue that’s keeping her bound to the music, then isn’t it feasible to say she could just slap together some unreleased compilations and be done?
 
I’m just tired of being promised music if it’s clearly not what she’s about these days. She doesn’t owe anything to us, of course, but she could at least quit the pretense.

not at all. i mean i don't really consider myself a "stan" of anyone per se but like...i'm losing interest, this bitch is really TRYING us. if it's not irresponsible unprofessionalism, it's a homophobic cult church, and if not that it's something else (feminism is uninteresting? trying to perform in israel?) and lately it's a terrible cocktail of everything. she's becoming less and less likeable to me and as much as i love her music and who i used to believe she was (it's hard for me to figure out whether she really was that or just had me fooled), i'm just annoyed and kinda done with her behavior right now. it's hard for me to stay interested or excited when everything is this messy

if she's hanging with people from hillsong and counts them as good friends does it really make any difference though?! idk. i wouldn't count people from a church like that as friends, she's clearly in with or at least a part of their community

yes thats what its known for but many churches chose to be progressive ie: the catholic church in my city that hangs an lgbt flag. its not hard to do such and find more progressive churches even if they dont hang an lgbt flag which i doubt isnt hard in la. hillsong is open about it and thats the issues as lana cant obviously be ignorant to it

There are new churches who have adapted to today's society. You can find them anywhere, especially in a place like LA. Places like Hillsong are backwards af and should be avoided.

That could be a possibility, but why are we making excuses for her? This church is famously known to be anti-LGBT, anti-abortion, and not to mention a history of sexual abuse. And before anyone says "all churches have that history" - no they don't.

We've had multiple interviews, 3 singles (the first released 9 months ago), we have the album title and she said it would be released at the beginning of 2019, we are now 6 months in.
