Yeah.. she needs to accept the fact that Electra Heart was her commercial peak. She’ll probably never be that popular again, which is definitely a shame but it doesn’t mean the quality of her music has to decline.  
 
hopefully the next record will have a solid concept / some genuine thought behind it.. we know she’s capable! 

Nah the original cover for the debut made her look like a waxy corpse and her mouth/teeth especially looked strange. There were better Nicole shots to choose from instead of the magazine shoot doubling for an album cover

The way that I Pray For Rain and Guardian both sound fresh even though they were recorded so long ago... I don't know why this girl is sitting on that kind of quality for so long

I love seeing praise for End of the Earth... it’s def in my top 3 favorite Marina songs EVER. That song should’ve been the blueprint for the entire album & it could have been her best record... love in the midst of an apocalypse. The production also gives me some outer space vibes... it’s truly next level. Did anyone ever find which movie it was intended for? 

One Way to Heaven is pre-Masochism! she was in the studio with Chris Braide in 2012 so it's probably from around then + it got registered in 2013 before NTMT came out

i kind of get her point of view, she waited 84 years to release the album and it's obvious she wants to release it at the perfect time, with the perfect shows and videos, but the point is: the world ain't never going back to normal anytime soon, and we're probably going to deal with issues caused by the pandemic for a while.
so it's pretty dumb for her to be sitting on stuff she's finished ages ago cause it isn't the PeRfEcT TiMe tO rEleAse it. like literally EVERY other musician, she should make it work and release it anyway.

She is milking this COVID excuse for all it's worth    I wouldn't even be surprised if we get Masochism on NTMTs 10 year anniversary at this point
