Lust for Life was basically intended to be messy, it was everything that Lana is/has been/wants to become all in one album. It was a full circle moment. It shown her intelectual side about believing in a positive future and being together (Love, LFL) to her classic emotional relationship ballads (13B, Cherry, White Mustang), to her hip hop gangsta side (SM, GL, IMF), her political side (GBA, WAW, Coachella, BPBP) and of course, the last 3 songs being its own seperate parting story to the person she wants to become.
 
Lust for Life was a gateway record to something new, its title being a nod to her first record was just the perfect way to end things. I dont think she's ever going to be the same again.
 
..anyway sorry for talkin about lfl, i know this has been said A LOT but i just, as much as the album is messy and ugly.. it had its purpose and led to this iconic album!

i find it quite amusing how, normally when a new record is released people generally praise the previous record a lot more. but im thinking poor lust for life has only been made to look even smaller than she already is... bless her tryhard little soul

For me is a 10/10: the guitar, the lyrics, etc. it’s smooth, chilling, charming, sweet

she made a song that is wanting to express how she wishes America would change, should change, she wants to help, she is NOT a historian, she is NOT a Politician,
she is an individual singer
who writes her own music. she writes how she feels... she is not trying to brush off minorities by ignoring the facts of life...  
you cannot continually criticize someone for not speaking out on every single mass injustice simply because she spoke on another... that makes no sense whatsoever. 

Imagine what my eyes would be prevented from if some of y'all took more walks outside.

No matter what she is doing, people will talk shit either way... 

god honestly so many of you attack her when she's doing an inherently good thing (raising money for victims of a mass shooting) and it really shows the hate in your hearts

imagine spending ur time writing an essay about how fake woke Lana is when you could be streaming Looking for America and helping the families impacted by these recent shootings.....

Random thought: I love HIADT but I think it was probably not the best idea to release it as a single, especially since it's the last song on the album. Already knowing it kind of takes away the effect it would have had to hear it during the first listen of the whole record.
