If the album (or the song for that matter) was coming any time soon, our beloved eclipse would ensure that we'd already have several vague lyrical extracts, song title acronyms/abbreviations and low quality tagged snippet recordings leaked from discord.
Safe to say we can make plans for tomorrow -- go outside and don't perch on the forum all day and get cranky when nothing happens.

goddamn,,, man child
you fucked me so good that i almost said i love u
you’re fun and you’re wild
but you don’t know half of the shit that you put me through
your poetry is bad and u blame the news
but i can’t change that- and i can’t change your mood
oh, cause you’re just a man
it’s just what u do
your head in your hands as you color me blue
yeah you’re just a man, all through and through
your head in ur hands as you color me blue, (blue, blue, blue)
goddamn,,,man-child..
u act like a kid even tho you stand 6'2
self-loathing poet, resident Laurel Canyon kno-it-all
u talk to the walls when the party gets bored of you
but i dont get bored i just see it through
why wait for the best when i could have u?
cause you're just a man,
it's just what u do
your head in ur hands as you color me blue
yeah, you're just a man...all through and through
your head iny our hands as you color me blue
you make me blue.

Ultraviolence ranks No. 6 in my decade-end list (you can check it out, Part 1 2 3)
6. Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence
"The juxtaposition of those two worlds, the peaceful beginning and the chaotic chorus, it summed up my personal circumstances of everything going easily and then everything being fucked up," Lana Del Rey said about album opener "Cruel World". "It felt like me," she sums up. The same definition applies to the entirety of Honeymoon's previous chapter, the angsty Ultraviolence.
On Born to Die, Lana was blind from all the glamour and beauty of her love affairs. She's not able to see the danger, toxicity and darkness hidden in her American dream -- "They will rue the day I was alone without you," she dares in "Off to the Races", but no one lamented it more than herself, and she realizes that in the disturbing drums and psychedelic guitars of Ultraviolence. We find Del Rey at her darkest state of mind -- unlike Honeymoon, there is no positive message or hopeful ending: "the other woman will die alone." It feels like every song was written in the middle of the night. But, seen in retrospective, hitting the lowest low was necessary for later healing. Something we all can relate to.
She's angry and sarcastic throughout the whole album. She says she doesn't need "all those special times" spent with her lover anymore, but the tone implies that she's lying. The same goes to lines like "I'm finally happy now that you're gone" or "He hurt me but it felt like true love". She's lying. The blinded confidence and firmness she had on Born to Die is gone, because what happened exactly is that as her lovers got darker and sadder, her love for them slowly faded, ending up dark and sad herself. This depressive concept is perfectly executed in the rock waltz "Shades of Cool" and her saddest song to date, "Black Beauty".
"But I can't help him
Can't make him better
And I can't do nothing about his strange weather
'Cause you are invincible
I can't break through your world
'Cause you live in shades of cool
Your heart is unbreakable."
We notice that while she's singing directly to him in the chorus ("You are invincible"), she's in a constant fight and doubt with herself ("I can't help him"). However, she does try to help him, which only results in failure since she's broken herself, as we can see in "Black Beauty":
"I paint the house black
My wedding dress black leather too
You have no room for light
Love is lost on you
I keep my lips red
They seem like cherries in the spring
Darling, you can't let everything
Seem so dark blue
But what can I do
To turn you on or get through you?"
A glimpse of hope appears in a line from "Pretty When You Cry", opaqued by the one that follows.
"Don't say you need me when
You leave and you leave again
I'm stronger than all my men
Except for you."
And we all know she ended up being stronger than him.

Idk if I sound like a crackhead here with this wild ass theory but am I the only one who feels like the NFR lead up has been weirdly similar to the AKA one? Aka was recorded in 2008 and she released an ep of 3 songs from it in fall ‘08 and was supposed to release it early ‘09 but it was shelved and she was forced to put everything on hold and just live her life then it was finally released early 2010. Ok so we know nfr was recorded in 2018 and she gave us 2 songs in the fall (and another in Jan) and the album was supposed to be out at “the top of 2019” but we’ve had no news and Lana seems to just be living her life so idk I keep thinking the album will be out Jan 2020 to parallel completely whether deliberately (transitioning back to Lizzy? Leaving her label? Idk) or just a weird coincidence the universe set up or maybe I’m just connecting things that aren’t related lol. I first started thinking that when she was on her old twitter and said something about how over 10 years things have changed but haven’t changed at all. Thought I’d finally share my delusional theory with everyone. And yeah I know it’s all likely bullshit but I’m just having fun while I wait.

It's so weird to me when fans refer to her as Elizabeth, like, you don't know her like that lmao, she goes by Lana. They're not 2 different people who want 2 different things, stop with the fanfiction. "Lana Del Rey" isn't a character, it's just the name she goes by.

This song has such good imagery about heroin. The lines about nectar of the gods, on the freeway racing at a million and can’t stop. Wow.
The third song in the holy trinity of Cruel World / Heroin / Wild One

Shades liked a post in a topic by Beautiful Loser in Nectar of the Gods
I had to look up what "nectar of the gods" is and it seems to be the sweetest and most delicous drink or thing you can consume, and can literally mean food for (ancient Greek) gods. When looking at the previous line, "what cruel world is this?", she might be asking herself what kind of world this is to have something you can't stop yourself from having, which makes it cruel. Maybe we can think of it like candy - your tongue and brain loves it, but you know it's not good for you if you overconsume it. Perhaps this "nectar of the gods" is heroin, which she mentions in the next line.
Heroin is an opioid and makes you addicted. She knows it's not good for her, yet she can't stop herself from having it i.e. she's addicted. She may be taking heroin to relieve heartbreak and pain, since it can have similar effects to morphine, another opioid, or she may be taking it to create a rush while thinking of her lover.
The next line makes me think of Summertime Sadness ("cruisin' down the coast, goin' 'bout 99"), but I think she is describing the rush, the euphoric feeling from the drug ("racing at a million"). And she confirms that she can't stop using it - she's addicted.
Finally, she is saying that she wishes to talk with her lover but she is either making calls but it too scared to actually talk to him and hangs up, or she keeps calling him and he refuses to have a proper conversation and hangs up the phone.
She says that she loves him more than before ("like you never knew"), hinting that they're no longer a couple. Not being with him saddens her ("like the color blue") and maybe she's crossing lines just to show him how much she cares (like keep calling him on the phone and acting "fucking crazy" by doing that).
After a quick search, I found that Lana is referencing a song, Honey on the Vine, by Matt Monro. I listened to it, and it's a sweet, jazzy love song (from 1997?), and if we go back to the previous line, she might be asking what a world would be like if it had love like that. Maybe she's thinking back to her past, remembering when her world was sweet like that, and thinking that she no longer recognizes it today.
In the next lines, she's looking back to when she was still unknown and had grand dreams of her future. She dreamt of celebrities, namedropped singers, songwriters and artists in her own songs, imagining what it must be like to be one of them. Now, she knows what it means to be a celebrity and knows the backside of being one, and wonders why she even daydreamed of a life like this when she was young. Perhaps, her (ex-)lover is a musician too. ("I used to dream/sing about people like you")
She made it to California and Los Angeles ("home land of the gods" - or maybe the "gods" are movie stars, and movie stars are usually in LA), a place she'd been longing to experience and live at. Now that she is here, she kind of has fullfilled her goals, she has everything she dreamt of (well, except for love I suppose) so the question is... what left is there for her to have? What will her new goals in life be? She's feeling lost in the place she feels most at home and must find herself. Perhaps she's feeling lost if her (ex-)lover dumped her, and she's asking herself what she did wrong and is trying to find an answer.

Failed half of my classes, feeling extremely anxious when I try to study, feeling guilty when I don't have the strength in me to even try to study, postponing shit like I've never have before, struggling with my down spiraling self confidence, escaping reality with shit that's not real and don't really matter if you think about it, and I don't want to die but LANA DO SOMETHING I NEED HAPPINESS
Hi LB, now you know something more about me, have a nice evening.

What cruel world is this, nectar of the gods
Heroin gold in my veins and you in my thoughts
I’m on the freeway, racing at a million
And I just can’t stop
I call you up twice, hang up the phone
Call again, I wanna talk
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like you never knew, knew, knew
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like the color blue
What sweet world is this, honey on the vine
School kid dreams came true then passed in the night
I used to dream about people like you, now I don’t know why
I used to sing about people like you, now I just get high
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like you never knew, knew, knew
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like the color blue
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like you never knew
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like the color blue
Californ- I-A, homeland of the gods
Once I found my way, but now I am lost
