I can't tell if she'll get more flack for this than the Guardian interview

i've been on this site for like...three years and have not ONCE posted a thing...i cannot believe that this of all things is what's brought me out from the shadows

I can't believe this whole conversation shifted from "yo Lana's text has racist undertones" to "yo Lana unfollowed some clout-y fan accounts" in the span of 24 hours, this fucking pandemic I swear

This drama has me feeling like I'm making popcorn and when I think it's over more corn pops and I just have to keep staring waiting for it to be over but there's always some corn that doesn't pop and it's never truly over and in the meantime I notice I already burnt everything that was good to go and just end up hungry and frustrated, without any corn or popcorn

Her posts are so big I'm starting to think this is the book she keeps talking about

I doubt she will disappear forever, she seems super motivated to publish her art and she stood her ground.
She might face backlash from the industry but she has 16M followers and sold out concerts, she's rich. She will be fine.
Honestly, if there's all kinds of abusers trending with their art, this kind of sin isn't the worst.

Unironcally does she know you can make an anonymous/private blog to express this kind of stuff? I feel like if she had one and posted these kinda feelings, let it sit for a week then reviewed when in a calmer headspace she could avoid being misunderstood way more.

I think Lana leans the most on her people/family/friends/crew whatever you want to call them but I’m sure she can’t see her bff Jen bc she has a new baby and is worried about covid, everything in Cali is closed so she can’t really go do stuff with her friends. She’s basically isolated. I know 100% for fact that all of this stuff fucks with mental health and addiction. She got sober a long time ago, but we don’t know for sure that she stayed sober. For all we know she could of relapsed a few months ago and is newly sober rn. I’m sure she’s struggling and it sucks. I think the fact that she’s obviously choosy in what she posts on social as far as pics go and she added the AA book picture is very telling. As someone who is currently sober/clean and doing the best I can, I can say that sticking to a routine is so helpful and covid messes that up for everyone. I feel for her if she is indeed struggling.

this is random and honestly not really needed but whenever i get 10+ notifications from this thread in under a minute i have a mini heart attack thinking that something happened

So which DMs were real and which ones were fakes? I'm so confused.
