Brat was a pop culture moment that only happens once every decade AT MOST, Cowboy Carter winning AOTY makes NO sense. Even Billie and Sabrina would make so much more sense

I'm surprised Billie went home with nothing, especially considering how big HMHAS was and how critics loved it. I really thought at least best pop vocal would've been locked in for her. I guess she's not a grammys darling anymore. I'm glad Short n' Sweet won though, I rlly loved that album (Ariana was most deserving but whatever). Taylor not going home with anything either feels correct. TTPD was just not that great and I'm glad they didn't just throw awards at it because of its high sales count. That Fortnight song being nominated in those categories in the first place was silly.

Yeah, I'm gonna sound really pretentious here but Brat was heavily intentional and mindful, let's not lie to ourselves here. There's an introspective meta-narrative running concurrently with the party theme. It uses garishness and sarcasm to conceal moments of vulnerability as a woman and as an artist. Not to mention that the entire album itself is in honour of Sophie. It was also a massive cultural shift and was literally everywhere. I could go on and on lol but there are so many reviews out there that break it down. I'm bummed it didn't win AOTY but still stoked that Charli won some Grammys. 

Cowboy Carter is not Beyoncé's best work ijbol. B'Day, self titled, Renaissance, Lemonade and Everything Is Love clear Cowboy Carter. People overintellectualise this album so bad. It's a good country themed album that touches on black history, but "deep historical showcase" and Ryan Beatty x Miley Cyrus demos do not go hand in hand
