Love is embarrassing and downright cringy. The music video bears no aesthetic resemblance or quality to any of her other work, and the single artwork makes me want to vomit in my mouth. 
 
Lust for life is one of the most boring and half hearted songs I have ever heard, while Coachella is just... lets not go there.
 
Summer Bummer, Groupie Love and the rest of the album sound incredible. Cheers. 

Lana is just at her best when she's storytelling. I don't think she's good at expressing her personal feelings from within, unless she's telling it from a narrator point of view.

I find BTD one of her worst videos because she does not look like herself in it. Her face is just so different to how it really looks like... Really weird

lol, as if lana would do anything that she didn't want to do at this point. she said it herself in the pitchfork interview, she only cares about her own opinion. 

Lana was pretty much confirmed a speed freak by that dude who shit talked her on Twitter. Amphetamines (including methamphetamine) fucks up the face and makes you age because of its effect on cells, so that could be part of why she gets work done.
 
But I doubt Lana did heroin, and even if she did, heroin doesn't do the same damage to the face. The main facial damage it does is to the teeth (a quadruple whammy: it weakens the structure of the teeth making them prone to breaks, cracks, and cavities, it creates dry mouth which accelerates cavity production, it causes grinding which slowly damages teeth, and it damages gums which makes teeth loose and fall out spontaneously). The reason why the faces of heroin addicts sometimes go to shit is because they're not actively taking care of themselves. If a heroin addict also took care of their face (washing, moisturizing), their faces would be fine. The same cannot be said for a meth addict, their faces would always be fucked.

So I know that everyone is very over talking about her cosmetic enhancements but pls bear with me. 
 
Consider that we have this murky backstory about her dabbling in drugs/addiction to drugs prior to her fame...
 
Could it be that the drugs thinned out her face, and the fillers are in place to return her face to normalcy as opposed to enhancement ? ... this being why she is reluctant to talk about it? i.e. bringing up bad memories
 
I apologise if you didn't want to read about this, but i've just been listening to Heroin allot and it got me thinking. 

For me LFL starts from 13 Beaches 

This song. Jesus. It's such a triumph. Listened to it while high and spun off into space. The production and instrumentation is just magical.

I was literally obsessed by West Coast. I used to play it every day for a few months and still got the rush every time I heard it. The same with SOC chorus. Nothing on LFL makes me feel that way but I still can appreaciate LFL as her  probably most complex record with the much needed change of her perspective. Though I dont think the whole record will be as timeless and replay-worthy as her last ones for me but I sense its the beginning of something great in the future. 

I get your point but not everything has to be a lyrical masterpiece imo. I for one appreciate that on an album like this we have some heavier songs with deeper lyrics and then other songs that are more simple and just easy to listen to.

Yeah I don't get this negativity. we've only heard 2 out of 18 songs and some crappy live recordings of another. And the 3 songs are so different from one another, any lana fan should like at least one of them. I think the album is going to go down as one of her best

I've been watching the love music video and I thought I really loved it at first, but now every time I watch it, it makes me cringe. I hate all the extras in the video. It almost looks like a commercial for some generic product aimed at young people. This going to sound really pretentious but the extras almost look too normal. I guess they lack the coolness that a lot the people lana features in her videos. Even her home made ones, which where usually just random clips of people. I think Lana has in general lost a lot of what made her so unique and kitsch almost. I hate to say I'm bored with Lana.

I think death row could just be symbolic for something such as drug use (there was a few drug reference's on Josh's page but I didn't really see them as that relevant until now, plus she mentions drugs in every other song) or she wrote about true feelings but elaborated to create a more tragic story. I don't think we should take every single word she sings so literally. She's a story teller, sometimes the things she writes about are just that - stories. I mean... if we're going to assume the whole death row story is 100% true then are we supposed to believe her being a serial killer is true too? 

There's not really any correlation. Florida Kilos takes place in Miami referring to the Miami cocaine era during the 70's, I'm pretty sure she talks about Columbians in FK because cocaine is legal there. And she's cooking and consuming cocaine. One song is about cocaine and just happens to have similar themes with a song about a man. I don't think they're related

same. if i were a famous musician, any shit would annoy me. people get too close. 
 

She does strike me as an anxious introvert. Tbh none of the "bitchy" stuff is anything that would be out of character for me personally, so I have to give her a pass, even if she might look a lil shady once in a while

Well, remember the girl who interviewed her on that famous video from when she was still Lizzy Grant? She said Lana's always basically been a good person, just a little peculiar (or something along those lines).

I just remembered what she said about James Franco, that they really understand each other and it's hard to find for both of them. Maybe that's why she's cutting people out of her life too.
