Yesterday, Lana Del Rey was spotted by a fan while out with her sister Chuck Grant in Los Angeles, California.

On Wednesday, Lana Del Rey celebrated her friend Annie Tomberlin's birthday at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

I think Text Book is about multiple people. I guess you could call it text book, I was looking for the father I wanted back to me suggests that she was in a pattern of using men to replace her father, rather than just one person. 
 
She also at one point says maybe just the way we're different could set me free and then later people say we're too much alike, but maybe that will finally make it right which again suggests that the song is about multiple relationships, and her overall experience through her text book daddy issues. Given that the album is meant to tell her whole story, it makes sense that she'd start with a topic like this one that people have always associated her with, especially earlier in her career when she sang more about toxic relationships and used the word daddy so often. 
 
The fact that the album ends with Lana not replacing her father with another man, but actually having him back is so truly beautiful 

I have a feeling Sweet Carolina will be the dark horse of the album and be her best closing song to date. 

first versions that we know of of Cherry Blossom, Living Legend and Nectar Of The Gods were created while Lana was creating UV  and If You Lie Down With Me was written with Barrie James O'Neill, her boyfriend of the time so it's probably based on UV outtake as well

I’m very glad Lana didn’t go to the MET (and I hope she doesn’t attend next year either). 
 
I mean not out of negativity but I really hope this whole “disconnect and live a normal life because I’m tired of culture” deal is truly authentic (and I think it is). I wouldn’t really blame her about changing her mind (because we all do) but it would mean some sort of step back from the mindset she is in right now. 
 
Also not to put another artist on the spotlight but look at Lorde. She went full out about being ill of celebrity status, playing the martyr advocate of the planet, being disconnected and what not… and she shows up at the MET as “Jesus”, shows up half naked and with expensive ass dresses on Vogue… etcetc
 
i know artists need a platform to
get their message across but you preach with actions. That said…. i am glad Lana is out of this whole toxic internet environment and I hope for her best and whatever keeps her happy even if that meant no more music from her (I doubt that but hey..)

I wouldn't love it, but it would seem like an honest move in her favor. She could move to Tennessee, there's a whole music underground world there, people just like her. She could work and be unbothered.
