Some people are saying she's racist because the picture, with the white hand and black hand holding each other, got cut off.
I didn't even notice until they pointed it out. To be searching for outrage in a cartoon hand... what even.

Lmao they wish her music was badI think those people were feeling that way about her music either way so yeah it doesn't matter

I wish this could go viral instead.

can all of the "why isn't she sharing petition links and donation links" people stfu now

the "open your purse" comments really get on my nerves... she's under no obligation to prove to anybody that she donated money, and i'm assuming she already has. if she did post that she donated, people would think she is showing off and just doing it to make herself look good, but if she doesn't post about it, people would assume she didn't donate at all, and that she hasn't done enough. i guess her donations are only valid if she chooses to broadcast it to the world.

when were people obligated to post a screenshot of their donation(s)? Lana mentioned she was doing “other things” in support of the movement. If people are posting screenshots just for social media validation, it defeats the whole purpose. Chuck and Charlie donated and it’s likely she donated as well. it seems she’s going to hate either way

if chuck and charlie both donated, i'd like to think that lana did as well. and good for her if she doesn't want to show it to 16 million people, it shouldn't matter more if you post it or not. they'd call her performative if she did post it anyways.

People can't actually find anything wrong with what she said this time so all of the comments are "Open your purse" "That's not enough. We need more" "This doesn't make up for what you did". But if she actually did post some proof that she donated something, people would accuse her of being performative and still call her racist. They'd probably say at this point she was bullied into doing it. Now she's more or less doing everything right and people are still going to bully and still ignore the fact that she was protesting. I don't care anymore.

They're wearing masks and the pictures have this black and white filter, these peaceful protestors are hardly recognizable. Besides, a ton of celebrities are showing protestors' faces in their posts, I don't see any of y'all or a bunch of Twitter stans singling them out or berating them over this one specific thing? There was a clear issue with showing looters yesterday, that was incensitive and potentially dangerous, but this is not in my view.

I think releasing a song right now from her would be a fucking terrible idea, proceeds going to charity or not.

I am glad she’s still posting about this protest though and I’m glad she turned her comments ON. If she’s going to talk about the culture like she did a week ago, well.....don’t lock comments gurl, take the good with the bad. That’s what happens when you put that out there, unfairly misunderstood or not.

She’s still a hot topic with all this drama, you can see it in some comments, “open your purse!”.....”shut up”.... ect, it’s the internet, it always going to lead from a place of negativity.
All she can do now is show support, let this whole thing simmer down, take the hate with the love (there’s alot of positive feedback on here insta too) and just move the fuck on and learn from this.

Really? Now the criticism is "open your purse"... Does she have to rub the receipts on their faces?

people are really dragging her for posting pics of protestors "faces" when THEY'RE ALL WEARING MASKS. Whats not clicking. If cops wanted to find faces all they'd have to do is check twitter cus i've seen hundreds over the last couple of days. Literally search getty images and there's thousands of pics of protestors faces.....these people hating on Lana's post must have worms in their brains like honestly

Sorry, but... If there is still hatred after that it will be simply because people cannot live without directing their hatred towards someone on social media.

Yeah but it's gonna be like that for awhile regardless of what she posts, I think.

I'm glad she turned her comments back on, though. Good move.

she criticised Kanye a while back for supporting Trump and posting a picture wearing a MAGA cap and got heat for that too, people were calling her a racist because apparently you can't criticise poc anymore when you're white without being a racist. Even that hot mess Azelia went on a rant about it (was that how the girl fight started, or was it shortly after that?)

Social media is a disease and I think her main problem is, that she became "too mainstream". Her art, her music, taste and way of expression is just too unconventional/peculiar (I don't feel like this is the right adjective, sorry engl is not my first lang. but I hope you guys know what I mean) for the mainstream media consumers to understand.

She’s not the only one posting people with masks tbh. Look at Madison Beer Instagram story...people always find something to complain about.

people already commenting "block and blur the faces, you don't learn" like not taking into account all the ppl have Face Masks, and the LAPD does not have the time to go thru tiny photos of ppl they can barely make out - peacefully protesting - while they cannot even keep up with looting and other tasks... I just don't get ppl grasping at air.

“ How does one begin to describe how greatly they desire equality for the world?
I know lately a lot of people have been feeling like they can’t say the right thing online, their words get all twisted up when all they’re trying to do is help – but when it comes to this kind of madness, I just wanna say- it’s not about putting things into words perfectly. It’s just about having the desire to share what’s on your heart and to do what you feel you can.
We’ve been choosing to peacefully protest amongst doing other things, and as always are hearts are with you and we’re standing with u, with our ears to the ground (no high horse preaching here) we’re super in the mix and always have been when it comes to issues of morality and equality.
Also, a reminder - It’s in our nature to riot, it always has been. So for everyone who’s feeling nervous just know that this is a long-standing form of protest when it comes to inequality and that it’s a sign of change to come.
    Much love and blessings
    L”

I am all here for Lana to sing in the lyrical style she used to. And I sincerely hope that that is what we will get in COTCC, as she said we would, and NOT anything that's related to the mess that is still dragging on now.
If I try real hard to ignore everything else she said, I am glad that she still acknowledges her old style as her true self, and not something she 'grew out of'. It makes me happy that what I feel was the blandness of NFR and most of LFL is not her final Lana.20 or anything, and that she still wants to write the way she did, and maybe always wanted to go back there. I don't want her to want to forget how she started, because we certainly aren't.

I think I'll cry if we get an album that matches her work pre LFL, even if it's all piano ballad's or acoustic, like idc, I just wanna feel that.
