the story of All Too Well 10min version is essentially she was playing the song while on the Speak Now tour on stage during rehearsal and someone recorded it and the recording is apparently 10mins. that is all we know, but my guess is she played around a lot with the song in those ten minutes and likely did a good bit of the end portion on the piano as she worked the lyrics - we see a lot of her process in the reputation Making Of videos. so I think it basically was the same song but it was never MEANT to be ten minutes and there weren't 10 mins worth of lyrics. simply, the recording of her MAKING the song initially is 10 mins.

Tangentially related: I really have a hard time believing that really any of the vault tracks were actually from the respective eras and not from Midnights

Unpopular opinion: she should’ve kept “Is It Over Now?” in the vault just so it could’ve been the closing track to TTPD. It lyrical flows so well with the story arc and if the album started with “I was supposed to be sent away but they forgot to come and get me” and ended with “I was hoping you’d be there, and say the one thing, I’d been wanting, but no” it would’ve been such a serve. 
 
I always play it after listening to the standard album and it sounds like waking up from a bad dream. 

I know I'm late but like... i just realized what Guilty as Sin? was about. 

Honestly I think Charli was the only artist to really bring something on theme to the table. Besides the aqua song, no one else even bothered to try and world build / reference anything on brand. I think the Mickey song works perfectly in the Barbie universe and they really wanted to extend that with Speed Drive. Plus it helped that there was at least 3 other songs probably pitched for the movie that use the Aqua song…

I am still so obsessed with Flux.  I know it wasn't for everyone but I think it's immaculate.  I can't wait for the new album I LOVE Church Outfit and Knockoff.

LOVE this new version of Knockoff. I’ve been wanting her to go full dark electronic pop for a long while now I’m so glad she’s finally doing it. Very excited for the album.

It’s actually so frustrating coming into this thread to talk about Taylor and her music with other Taylor fans and seeing the same 3 users camping in here with the same points over and over again about how they think her music is mid and she’s a capitalist and has an annoying fandom.
 
We literally do not fucking care. and people like the ocean who are too afraid to admit they like an album so they have to clarify that anything good Taylor’s done ‘isn’t revolutionary’ etc like oh my god just shut up 😭😭😭 literally so annoying do you not have anything better to do… just a bunch of sheep and people who think any fan of Taylor is going to read their opinion on her and think oh yeah actually all her music is so bad 
 
sorry but every page of this thread is, like i said, the same three users disturbing a handful of taylor’s fans that are on this forum to just hate on her it’s actually draining go and make a new preleak thread or something and leave us and our album rankings in peace.

Now I wouldn’t compare her to Lana, She’s just never gonna be on that level.

She is one of the best songwriters of our time,
She has almost absolute control over what she does,
She can move CDs in the year 2022/3,
She really does semi-reinvent herself each era,
She works HARD.

I mean she Literally is the next Madonna, Sorry Britney but it’s true.
