i'm sorry but i don't think it's wrong that we should overthrow the government. at least it's not for racist reasons like the trumpers were doing it for. like legit i hope someone starts a revolution. clearly they're going after Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell next. once they take those rights away, we're going to be absolutely fucked, as if this isn't fucked up enough. this is just the start

i think we should just find a random island, inhabit it, & create our own society, at this point

I’ll add that—in states like mine (Louisiana)—some governors signed legislation that would not only prohibit abortions even in cases of incest or rape if the Roe v Wade were overturned, but it also results in even more severe legal punishment if an abortion is performed.

Outright abortion bans are a violation of medical care. Even if the legislators cared only for the fetus, banning abortion can allow for more cases of fetal distress that would result in inevitable non-viability among other things.

I just really hope US citizens start waking up and realize our rights are constantly at risk of infringement. Something has to change. So many individuals in my life capable of pregnancy are going to suffer from this, and it’s now segueing into reducing contraception access. Dystopian.

What's next, gay rights? Black voters rights? This has to stop and should have been the straw that broke the camels back but we know it won't because people in the US are pussies and we can't do anything about it while we pay their salaries of over $200k a year. Meanwhile, we have a rapist in the Supreme Court who has just decided against a woman's right to choose to have an abortion.

This is so fucked up. This government does not represent the people anymore and it's clear we need a new system. This country is a fuckhole of corporate greed and religious theologies taking control over other people's rights. Gay rights are next and we're not gonna have any say about it. I fucking hate it here.

fyi this means that states now have the decision to make it legal or illegal, its not a blanket ban on the country.

nonetheless this country is fkn moronic and Clarence Thomas [who ironically his dumb wife texted White House officials to overturn the 2020 election results and attended the January 6 insurrections] has stated that he is ready to overturn gay marriage and contraception laws. This ruling is an insult to the intelligence of societal evolution and a reminder that the way our government works simply does not hold up anymore. Term limits for all politicians, constitutional update every 20 years, fuck this dumb ass court

it’s interesting how conservatives get all riled up about their constitutional right to own & carry a gun, but when it comes to the constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy…

And when that life is old enough to sit in a class room, just arm it with a gun or a rifle in case it needs to defend itself.

this should be a public health emergency, all this will lead to is more deaths from dangerous pregnancy complications, children being abused, sent to the foster care system, extended trauma from sexual assaults, & people losing their ability to live full lives, all they care about is the fetus’ “life” as if any fetus is aware they’re a living thing, i don’t think abortion is something that’s “good” because it can be a very tragic & difficult thing to have to do but the woman who already exists should be prioritized, especially since i’m going to assume a great majority of abortions are performed out of concern for the future life of the potential child or the mother’s wellbeing, i’ve heard they may ban abortions for ectopic pregnancies, in that case, BOTH mother & baby will die, it’s literally pointless, it’s sick

dont care. anyone who celebrates women losing the rights to their bodies is an idiot. couldnt give less of a shit.

they don’t actually care about the baby. if they did, they wouldve done their best to solve formula shortages and kids getting shot at school. its disgusting. all they care about is taking away rights from women.

i’m already tired of seeing photos of “pro-life advocates” celebrating in the streets, i’m sorry but they’re fucking stupid, they don’t give a damn about the child & it’s ability to live a happy life once it’s actually born, & they’re so blind & oblivious that they don’t see that

i feel scared that they aren’t going to stop here, in my state, it seems like abortion will still be legal, but what if they take away access to birth control? what if they go as far as reversing the right to gay marriage? interracial marriage? we just simply can’t go back, this is so scary

to think they were more progressive about the issue in the 70s, apparently…

at this point i don’t even care about the “right to bare arms” which was implemented in the 1700s, it should be incredibly difficult to obtain a gun, & you’d have to at least be 21, 18 year olds are still high schoolers, there’s no reason for them to have a gun, we’re letting too many irresponsible & violent people get a hold of dangerous weapons which can easily take out multiple people in a matter of seconds, people can blame it on mental illness all they want, but it’s a lot harder for somebody who isn’t mentally there to kill a bunch of innocent people with a knife or their fists, the times have changed & people just need to accept that not everybody has the right to a gun, it’s the 21st century, not the 1700s when they may have been more reasonable or relevant

America seems to care more about ensuring more births by banning abortions rather than guaranteeing the security of the children that are living and growing up in the country atm..

this event alone ended the lives of 22 humans, changed and traumatised the lives of everyone else at the school on the day and everyone’s family/friends/neighbours connected to the people who attended/worked at school. i cannot believe this is a twice daily occurrence in the US.

i just looked at the list of mass shootings in the US this year and i am horrified. 27 school shootings this year (it is may) and 212 mass shootings in 2022.

I don’t mean to be rude but can we stop mentions of it and acting like it is a “sign”. I feel like us continuously talking about it just inspires ppl to carry it out. It’s become the automatic weapon of choice for ppl annoyed at the site and I think we should stop putting the idea in their head.

Other countries have issues with gun violence but not to the extent of the US, in most cases. As an outsider looking in, it seems as if they are part of the cultural identity of the country. And I don't mean that every American is violent or anything, I mean that it's hard to imagine what America looks like without guns. They seem to be in almost every setting.
How do you get Americans to give up their guns? Here, we paid people to surrender them back in the 90s after a mass shooting in Tasmania, and people said it wouldn't work because there'd still be guns because criminals etc wouldn't surrender them. There ARE still guns but not nearly as many - most ordinary people can't access one easily and some types are banned altogether (semi-automatics and automatics) and that is the difference.

Ok, but for me her voice sounds a lot like Lana in Family Tree (Intro), A House in Nebraska and Family Tree . That's not negative, quite the opposite, it's an aspect why I like her music so much. But that's all, her style is otherwise quite different.
