Happy birthday to the album that started it all! The way this is one of the most influential pop albums of the 2010s. A trailblazer record that was not exactly rightfully appreciated upon its release, but people have come to their senses over the years. Iconic. 
 
When I first played it in full, sometime in the summer of 2012, from the first notes of the strings, I knew I'd be into something grand and unforgettable. Incredibly thankful for the memories this album has gave me. 
 
PS: 'Off to The Races' is one of the greatest pop songs ever released and 'Radio' is severely underrated.

I now see that the seller is offering other mugs printed by themselves. Though the description of the COCC mug is completely different than the other mugs they are selling. Not sure how to verify if they are legit or not ?‍♂️ I panic bought one too last night, just in case.
 
I'm curious about the packaging once I receive it. They described it as "unopened and in original packaging"

they seem to have a few random things they've listed as "promotional", idk why he would list some of them and not others, so that also makes me feel like its real.

when i messaged the guy he said he did a&r at some record labels in london and worked with polydor and that he often still gets gifts from the a&r guys there. he said he likes collecting mugs but also is sometimes given other random memorabilia.

im still kind of a fan of this one low key

okay so it's been two months since i've last posted my list and i was starting to lose track of what i had so i wanted to add everything up again. obviously we've had an album drop too so i'm excited to add that stuff to my list! for those of you who look at my collection posts you'll know i like to add things before i receive them just so i don't lose track of everything. speaking off, more and more people are getting their violet orders shipped and i'm not :/ it was a big order though, i hope it ships in like the next two weeks.
 
i have a lot of stuff i'm looking at buying on ebay over the next few days as well, so this list is gonna increase again  i probably should have waited but i really wanted to know what my current total is. it's starting to look like i might hit 400 by the end of the year BUT we've just had a merch drop that increases the number a lot. in reality, it's getting to the point where i have so much stuff that there is very little left for me to collect - what's left is either super rare or super expensive and i can't afford it :^( i hit my goal last year of obtaining 75% of all the merch she's ever released (this doesn't include magazines or discography items, just cold hard merch). i kind of want to hit 100% by the end of the year (which is about just under 50 more items) but as i've said, the problem is that a lot of this stuff just doesn't come up on ebay or i've been looking for years and just haven't been lucky. consider the fact i've only recently obtained 75% (73/96) of the surf shop merch alone :/
 
i might not for sure have the biggest collection number, but i definitely have the most official / biggest range of items from what i've seen. or the most "complete" collection. anyway, i've decided to redesign this a little bit so you guys can see the numbers. next time when i can be bothered i might add the amounts of variants in a collection versus how many i have.

Follow up on my post. I realized while going through my collection that a lot of my stuff is very 70s and 80s influenced, with a bunch of very niche French and Québécois stuff.

Tbh sometimes I think about how cool it was to have talked to him. He found out it was my friends 18th that night and actually asked Lana to come over to us , it was so freaking awesome. She signed my Uv CD and told us this story about how for her eighteenth she went up to Canada , can’t rly remember if she said Montreal or what city, but went and got super drunk because the legal drinking age was 18. Then she was like DONT DO THAT!! I WAS VERY BAD!! Lol. What a fun night! @Elle and all her friends were super sweet and it made waiting an hour in freezing temperatures feel worth it!

If we're telling Rob stories, the night I waited outside of the Nashville show to meet her he was out there for a long time talking to us and he was the nicest guy. The thing I remember the most is that it was the night before they announced the Grammy nominees and he was so hopeful, talking about all the hard work she has done over the years to get to that point. He was SO proud of her. It was completely adorable. He's the best. 

Thanks for the heads up, snagged the last medium. Small and a limited number of large left now!

Yesterday, Lana Del Rey was spotted by fans at Joules & Watts Coffee in Malibu, California.
 

florence & the machine– i try once every few years bc so much of what she does is theoretically right up my alley but...something keeps me from connecting.

I really love the UO green, but as others have said it really should be paired with Neil's cover  That would have been gorgeous!!

So far, I've purchased the clear vinyl, red w/ alt cover, and the Chemtrails boxset.

Waiting for the rest of the records and merch to be unveiled, but I think I'll purchase the green vinyl + anything if it has an alt cover + Chemtrails jacket in due time :,)

I’ve been digesting all the controversy surrounding Lana the last couple days. But I will say this. The one thing that shocked me the most with Lana ‘s arguments is that she implied that « inclusivity » is not an issue she needs to work on. That is a very tone deaf thing to say, especially in 2021 when conversations on racial equality are finally wide open on the table. I think that just tells us everything we need to know about her ignorance.
When it comes to her defending her upbringing, I don’t mind her defending a possibly difficult childhood. I mean I don’t know her personally so I can’t comment on that. But that’s beside the point and doesn’t cancel the comments she made on her Instagram. 
 Also I’ve noticed her « I have black friends » comment on Instagram has now been deleted. I wonder if she realised it was terribly worded out of her team did and asked her to remove it?
Luckily the album doesn’t come out till mid March so I’m just hoping she’ll learn during that time and come forward with a statement clarifying her intentions whilst also acknowledging she fucked up and was insensitive.
