You can tell how fucking unbothered Lana was with Blue Banisters. 
I feel like she realized at some point during the recording process that she wouldn’t have enough material for a whole album ready and just decided to fill it up with demos that worked contextually somehow…
That album is an EP, in my eyes.

OMFG the NightBird engineer after Lana and Barrie left the studio having done THAT

There was a period of time when Lana and Barrie would just... travel, everywhere. I think they would visit random studios writing/recording songs there with whoever was available. It's hard to pinpoint what was made by who beyond them 2. I think they would sometimes just leave the songs in the studio even. UFB was never planned to be included on UV, they just made it for fun, they were in love. Whoever was the working engineer in the NightBird studios the day they recorded it is probably the song's only co-producer.

he has an active account apparently 😭 he just explained himself on twitter and said that the 129 outtakes thing was a misunderstanding and it was actually 129 mixes of the title track, and that Fine China/YTH Auerbach versions were pure speculation on his part. the 129 thing is fair, but regarding Fine China/YTH i just don’t understand why he talked about them like truth  y’all have seen the way i’ve campaigned for those songs lmfaoooo
