Why is The Bakery so addictive? I've listened to it 50+ times in the last week according to last.fm! I swear she could've had another hit on her hands if promoted right.

I was so surprised for this reference.
It wasn't a good joke tbh nor it was understandable for people outside of Balkan. For context, she bears a striking resemblance to a Yugoslavian folk singer from Bosnia. Actually, it's her music, just her style. It's a wholesome joke here, Miley is probably the only mainstream star who can successfully pull off "tacky" 80s fashion.

Idgaf if he makes a million more albums with the 80s sound. It works

Loved The Power of the Dog and The Lost Daughter; didn’t really like Titane. Liked Nomadland & The Green Knight but didn’t love. Pig was meh for me though also less stupid than I thought it’d be (and really sad). French Dispatch also meh for me. I know a lot of people hated Don’t Look Up but I enjoyed.
Passing is prob my fav of the year, incredible adaptation of a terrific novel.
Still want to see Lamb, Dig, Last Night In Soho, Licorice Pizza & Cruella.

2021 was a really decent year for film and even though I am still making my way through a lot of the films that released late in the year, there are a few I absolutely adored and loved and truly resonated with. I'm just making this topic for anybody to talk about films released in 2021 and which ones you loved/hated/etc. I'll share some of my own but I'm curious what you thought of 2021 in film especially compared to 2020 and what you expect from 2022~~~~~
Some of my favorite films of 2021 (in no order) include:
The Killing of Two Lovers // Minari // Nomadland
The Father // Quo Vadis, Aida? // Wolfwalkers
Summer of Soul // Judas and the Black Messiah
Annette // Titane // Pig // The Green Knight
Spencer // The Lost Daughter // Lamb
Any films y'all liked in particular ?

RebeccaJuno liked a post in a topic by Gravitate in Katy Perry
Saw a lot of people saying When I'm Gone was really good and was going to be her big comeback song then I click on it to hear... the same sound she has been releasing for the past 4 years. At this point, it's getting tiring. I love Katy and really want the best for her career but it feels like nothing is authentic anymore. Any song she puts out feels like it was made to be #1 in 2016. I think she's trying to find this perfect formula for a hit when in reality she doesn't realize what she is missing is the authenticity.

exactly!
what was so good about never really over & harleys in hawaii was that it was a natural sound and it definitely seemed to come from the heart (i guess this could also apply to never worn white & daisies as well but to a MUCH lesser extent)

I'm using Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt as a title, that was the title listed on her engineer's site.
I wish I could find a good cover for it though.

RebeccaJuno liked a post in a topic by Taco Truck Bitch in Bonnie McKee
I think I might just stick with Electric Heaven since it seems many people are using that as the title

That's the title I was using too. I made this cover for it, but I noticed @kallumlavigne had a better cover on his twitter (the bottom pic)
