Hey 👋, thought I'd make a thread for one of my favorite games! Has anybody here played it, or modded it? 🐉 There also was a semi-recent Anniversary update released, I haven't personally purchased yet , but would be interested in your thoughts below!

She's a very talented songwriter with catchy hooks and very good vocals. She even managed to write an honestly good Christmas song which is not very easy, imo (California Winter). I wish her the best, truly !

Lmao she's been teasing a new release for 5+ years. Omg multiple festivals? The bare minimum you say? We should all be super grateful. Her only legit career is to be a singer, she should be grateful that she still have such patient fans and gets discovered by new fans. She should be grateful if people don't forget to stream and buy her new music after nine years since the last album. She's not giving anyone anything, she's selling her music and making money off festivals. It's funny and naive how stans fell like an artist is giving them a gift by releasing music when it's literally their job to do that. It's like thinking that Rihanna is giving them makeup through testers/samples at Sephora.

Marina is "like no other girls" since day one and she's always contradicting herself. I'm still shocked that she fired her manager when she was on maternity leave, but I don't think that she hates Lana or other successful female singers 

also there was the familiar froot moment with charli that seemed otherwise completely out of nowhere

someone on ATRL said that they are some remaining circulating songs left to leak that are: Mirage, Hitman, Don't Get Mad, Get Famous, Show Me Your Love and Forever 21.
We need to complete the epic sessions.

I dont think ADIAML sounds inauthentic because she's not keeping all the women she befriends in her life and empowering them.
 
I could be wrong but I think that the album sounds kinda inauthentic because this direction didn't come to her organically. She mentioned that she pushed herself to go in a crazier direction after L+F because of the fans. Maybe after the serious lack of success of that album, she felt pressured to go back to that wilder sound for some success. In my opinion, an artist's work is usually at its best when the sounds and themes come naturally, not by actively trying to do this or that. Because of that, I feel like ADIAML is lacking a lot of depth compared to other albums in her discography (I can't speak on L+F because I've only listen to it once 💀).
 
With songwriters (especially Marina), you can really tell when they’re in their feels about a topic and when they’ve just gone “what should I write about? Maybe this thing. What should I say?”. For example, if you were to listen to happy, you can just tell that the song meant a lot to her and came straight from her heart. There’s a lot of depth and emotion there. Compare that to happy loner and it just seems shallow even though I’m sure that it is still a personal truth for Marina. It’s obviously harder to be imaginative when you’ve plucked an idea out of thin air as opposed to finding inspiration and running with it.
 
I do think this album is a massive step up from L+F and I do enjoy a lot of songs from it. There's just so much untapped potential there
 
 

If something is out in March, like she "confirmed", then the promo should begin in a couple of weeks.

Unless Capitol or Sky said "NO PROMO" and then we will be lucky if she shares a pre-save link or anything.

But at this point, I won't believe shit until the album is out (won't believe on false starts like Downhill Lullaby)

I’m guessing she’ll release Enchanted TV for Valentine’s Day weekend and stick with the 3-month rollout like Fearless & Red and come out with the full album in May! Just a guess
 
although I really believed her hints led to 1989 next then SN, but I would think she’ll do a summer/fall release for 1989, which would mean SN would have to come first unless she saves 1989 for 2023, but I doubt it!

i think Lover is good, not her best but it’s solid, like @tt1pdvinyl said, besides IFTYE and LB, and the 3 horrible singles it’s pretty great.

Speak Now is most likely going to be the next re-recording, just based off process of elimination.
 
But it's probably not coming anytime soon. She'll definitely have the vinyl releases align with the first week sales again (we saw how well Red TV did with that), so wouldn't expect Speak Now TV until May 2022.
 
I am surprised she hasn't released Enchanted TV though, it's back in her top 10 most popular Spotify songs.

Not this random leaker dude from Discord telling me Tove Lo had a "Nurse/hospital" themed era planned but then it got scrapped.

He also said that all of the scrapped Lady Wood material are golden and he is glad that she put some of those songs on Blue Lips + one on Sunshine Kitty.

It's coming. She was on a podcast last week with MØ, Alma and Sigrid where they all talked about their plans for the new year briefly and she stated that at the time of recording, she had figured out the title of her album the day before. She went on to say that she was planning to finish the album in the first quarter of the year, in between doing her promo cycle for The Emigrants.

yeah i wasn't trying to criticize her or anything but it HAS happened and it's better to accept that nobody's perfect than to pretend they are
