i really wish artists spread out their album release timelines more, i would much rather something always be happening than all happening at once and then weeks of silence following it
like ideal album rollout would’ve been
Late December: website blackout… maybe even a black honeymoon profile picture if she was feeling quirky
January 1st: cryptic posting of one of the album campaign photos on honeymoon, website updates with a countdown
Week of January 9th: countdown ends with an album trailer that reveals the album title, release date, and short snippets of like 3 songs
Week of January 16th: Album cover revealed, preorder a day after that
Week of January 23rd: Title track single announced and released 2 days after announcement
Week of January 30th: Title track music video released
Week of February 6th: Something kind of minor and random but exciting enough for us to freak out over like the track lengths showing up on iTunes or something
Week of February 13th: Track list revealed 4 titles per day on website (one vinyl side per day)
Week of February 20th: Second single announced with a music video teaser
Week of February 27th: Second single and music video released
March 6th: Album reviews start being published online
March 10th: Album release
April: Third music video released
perfect consistently stimulating rollout and it’s not even asking for too much promotion from lana

i’m definitely reaching but the album tells a really interesting story of a housewife killing her shitty husband in the order of
1. Married in Mt Airy
2. Dogwood
3. Runnin Free
4. My Darling True
5. Moonlite
6. Gold Satin Dreamer
7. Sometime After Midnight
8. Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus
9. Bad Man
10. Whispering Glades
11. I’ll Wait for You to Call
i was reading all the lyrics and realized all of the songs tell a perfect story out of order
thought it was interesting, wonder if it was intentional at all or if the music video(s) will touch on it

Anyone notice how the last track fades perfectly into the first track, like it's just a neverending cycle of her madness. A concept

This album is so good. I didn't like the reworked verson of Runnin Free at first but it sounds really nice in context with the record. It's so pretty, i'm on my second listen now

we need to normalize full length albums in k-pop especially for the groups & soloists who understand the assignment
and we also need to normalize multiple singles from a release, give us an ERA

I don't have a link, but I can ask if he can upload it on dbr** later 😭
But he just put the tracks together, with voices carry being that new version he made, and it's using the original Don't Forget cover as the cover for this

TWICE's discography is like unreasonably massive so i've cut it down (i might've done this before but it's better this time )
album 1: The Story Begins (the story begins, page two, twicecoaster lane 1, twicecoaster lane 2)
album 2: Twicetagram (signal, twicetagram, merry & happy)
album 3: What Is Love? (one more time, candy pop, what is love?, wake me up, summer nights, bdz, yes or yes, the year of yes)
album 4: Feel Special (fancy you, happy happy, breakthrough, feel special, &twice)
album 5: Eyes Wide Open (more & more, eyes wide open)
album 6: Perfect World (fanfare, better, cry for me, kura kura, taste of love, perfect world)
album 7: Formula Of Love: O+T=<3 (formula of love - literally the only proper rearranging here nnn)
album 8: Celebrate (doughnut, celebrate, between 1&2)

This thread is like putting a bunch of immortal malnourished children in an empty locked room. Their mother says she’s making dinner, but she’s lying. Every 3 years, a crumb is tossed under the door, and all of the kids scramble to it and think their entree is finally coming, but it never does. As they get thinner and thinner, it starts to get the best of them; eventually, their hunger makes them start hallucinating. Some get aggressive. Others start seeing things. They think they hear mother walking outside the doorway—she’s not. They think they smell a fresh feast coming out of the oven—it’s not. And the worst part is: these children will never die. They’re doomed to spend eternity locked between these four walls together, with no way to escape. Their mother is never coming back. But they never lose hope. They live out the rest of their days emaciated, until eventually their delusions get the best of them, and they lose their minds forever. Those who pass by the house say that they can still hear fragile voices inside, repeating, “She’s coming today guys. She’s finally coming,” over and over again.
