If Lana were to actually do a full country album it would be a serve and a half  People get scared when they hear the word country but I'm sure Lana would channel the classics rather than cheesy country pop and she'd give it her own unique spin the way she always does. I bet her country album would be a huge critical success. 

thats why im always positive about her, it dont matter what genre she picks, she will do it in her own way, like her covers, they're brilliant!

the thing about the country album: Lana is pretty ironic and she knows a lot of us don’t like Nikki Lane or even her most country-ish songs so I do actually think this some time of joke meaning: or the album will be completely opposite of country or she will actually release ldr9 as a full country album and this comment was a way of saying “I really do not fucking care about your opinion, I’m doing my shit how I want”

I don't see the point in panicking about potential country music from Lana when it's obvious that her definition of that is completely different than ours  She said Video Games and Ride were kind of country songs, I think we're safe lol. And a lot of her old unreleased songs have really heavy classic country elements, so if that's what she plans on going for and not "beer beer hot women in a pickup truck" country, I'm all for it 

everybody here is frothing at the mouth at the thought of country/country-esque music as if fordham road, queen of the gas station, pawn shop blues, elvis, your band is all the rage, mariner’s apartment complex, & her covers of the end of the world, summer wine, & roadhouse blues don’t exist

I think you all have a one dimensional view of country music. She’s not gonna come out with some generic county pop. It’s gonna be more rock, folk alternative country.  I adore another artist Lissie and she is country , folk rock - suggest you all go listen to her she’s amazing. So if it’s anything like that I’m very excited.

i know u guys are crying abt country but this is my MOMENT  

you guys gotta remember that lana has experimented with country many times and even her classic songs have a twang to them. i personally would enjoy something like a carrie underwood moment from her : ) she can pull off any genre she wants, i'm just glad we're getting music after all these years
